The front office has voiced their preference to return to old smash mouth football. Bradshaw would be closer to that than anyone we have or had recently.

Bradshaw would be good if he could stay healthy. He'll be injured for at least a third of the season although that will be an improvement over Mendenhall. Not saying much there.

Bradshaw typically plays through all his injuries. It takes a lot for him to stay out. That being said he gets injured the first game of the season and then is a game time decision from then on. He is a warrior that was stuck in the leagues worst running attack but I would describe him more as very average rather than stuck in a bad system.

I grew up watching Gino Torretta and Eric Montross. I was an impressionable young lad and it wasn't like I could turn on the Tele and catch Sean Miller's drill for skill basketball. It was on tv and I was in elementary school--if Pitt ran an organization that garnered any interest outside of sweet Orlando Antigua Harlem Globetrotter name drops, I probably would've been a Pitt fan. That being said, I'm glad I'm not because the same reasons they sucked then are some of the same reasons they suck now

I also follow unc football. Jason Stanicek was one of my favorite college football players.

The Patriots have officially signed Emmanuel Sanders to an offer sheet.

The Steelers have five days to match it or they get New England's third in the upcoming draft.

Who do you trot out at receiver then? Brown and Plex? I'm asking this seriously. Miller is a target too I guess as long as they throw to him.

Except Miller will likely be out for half the season. This is definitely a big hit.

It's only a one year deal, too, so the Pats probably priced it just so the steelers will have a hard time matching.

Sucks from the depth perspective, but it's not as if the guy is irreplaceable. He'll be an UFA after this deal so you'd go through the same thing next year, just without compensation.

Sanders is brittle and hasn't developed much at all in his three years. Take the pick, I assume they'll get another one with Wallace leaving right? The Steelers really need a good draft this year.

They won't get a compensation pick for Wallace or anyone else until next year's draft.

They'd get a 3rd rounder this year. If possible I'd match the offer just to keep Brown from spending the offseason working on a sad ballet routine.
