Thats a joke, right?
I like Vitale, he is a good 4th liner, but to compare him to Francis, if you're being serious, is asinine.

How does a plug 4th liner compare to a 1st line hall of fame center and the 4th leading scoring forward of all time?

Francis only hit those numbers because he played for so long. Mario is the only reason he was ever a 1st liner. Before Francis came here he was nearly out of the league on Quebec's 4th line.

Okay, 1st of all Francis never played for Quebec, he was in Hartford before he came here. He has scored 101 points for the Whale the year before he was traded and was over a point per game pace at the time of the trade. That is hardly "nearly out of the league" territory. No doubt it was a statistical boon playing with Mario and Jagr for his years in Pittsburgh, but it was not the only reason he had a hall of fame career.

This is so great. I think you're confusing Hartford with Carolina. Francis played for them after he left Pittsburgh, not before.

If he played for them before...it sure as heck wasn't hockey.

You sure he didn't go to Phoenix, become an assistant coach there and get involved in a gambling sting along with Gretzky's wife?

Even The Chief is now a Shero fan.

The Chief wrote:All this Iginla deal does, as far as we're concerned, is remind Wing fans of the "we like our teams" and "the cost was too steep", the "getting ______ back is like a deadline deal". Honestly, I'm tired of hearing the **** alibis as to why this team can't be improved. Shero improves his. He's aggressive every year. Every year since '08 he's been daring. Has it always paid off? Nope. But there he is...in the arena, while Ken Holland kicks tires.
