I know it'll never happen, but I really think they showed go to the full cages that these guys played with as kids anyways

I'd rather lose some teeth than break my orbital bone.

depending, he could easily come back and play before 6 weeks passes. IF he has a broken jaw.

Bylsma: 'Don't know' if any jaw issue for Sid. Said he was only told about missing teeth.

I lost a lot of teeth (over the years), and I didn't miss any games.

Is a broken jaw considered "oral"

Keep Orpik away from the accuracy shooting contest at the skills competition next year...
Sid should hopefully be fine. Busted up his teeth a little. Doubt it broke his jaw...

Broken jaw could end his season. Or he could miss a month and slap a cage on. Either way it would be a disaster. Hopefully just teeth.

If it were his mouth guard, you'd see it in the next angle in that video. You do not. I think those are teeth. On the bright side, if the teeth absorbed that much energy, maybe the jaw itself isn't broken.
A friend of mine took a line drive baseball to the mouth. His bottom row of front teeth were still all attached to his jaw, but the top part of the jaw split in half, caving his teeth inward. Ugly injury, but he made a full recovery.

I don't think chutes and ladders counts offsides... (Just kidding)

Remember the Hatcher play? It had to be bad if Sid couldn't come back. I know he's a whiny baby, but the Kid is pretty tough.

Yeah I think it's his teeth too. And I was thinking the same thing. If they absorbed the impact maybe they take a lot of the force too his head doesn't snap back very much when it hits him.

A cage wouldn't be a huge deal. They have those fancy cages.
