Pascal Dupuis Appreciation Society

I don't normally post fanboi-ish threads on players, but man, I enjoy watching Dupuis on this team.

His motor is always going 100%, great positioning, smart play, can PK and backcheck...a real complete player.

I do hope he retires a Pen, but he may cost too much. After all, he's got four kids.

Anyone else want to join this society?

And might I add one of the most hilarious hockey pictures ever -- Dupuis happy face and Malkin midget arms.

I'm in. Tell me whom to PM so I can get my complimentary PDAS stainless steel water bottle and t-shirt that says "F you, Geno."

(A t-shirt with the "no-hands" drawing on it would be cool for the POs!)

Love him. Really do, mostly because he seems to love being here and shows it by working his fool arse off. Plus, he seems like a terrific teammate and guy.

Yes! Dupuis might be the leading ingredient in the glue that holds this team together...

I've always liked Dupuis. A truly solid player in all areas. I'm not the "I told you so" type but I remember getting ripped apart for saying that Dupuis was better than Comrie after that ill-advised signing was made. Even before Dupuis bumped up his offensive production in the last couple years he was always a really valuable player.

I like Dupuis because you can tell that he "cares" for lack of a better term. He is a professional and brings professional effort on the ice - not soff.

I want to join the P.D.A.S.

Count me in as a charter member of the PDAS.

The guy never stops working and plays so smart. The little off the
back boards pass that lead to the Jokinen goal last night, for example.

Hope that GMRS gives Duper the raise that he has earned and
that he will retire as a Penguin. Many years from now.

He's played RW and C for the Pens, he was drafted as a LW, you could literally play him in any situation (ES, PP, PK), and whether he's on the 1st line, 4th line, or a scratch, he just does what's asked of him. A team player in the truest sense of the word.

Sign me up to the club. He's an integral part of this team and, at this point, he's actually a top 6 scorer, while bringing so much else, like energy and effort and skating and good defense. I'm just a big fan of his.

I am just worried about the off season, i would hate to see the Pens give him an insulting offer. He deserves to be paid for the past few years of great service.

PDAS.... pleasr sign me up.

I don't think Dupuis was drafted.

You also forgot that you could play him as a goalie if needed. ;)

IN! I'm a big fan of the man :D

I'd seen him play a lot in Atlanta and liked his hustle and speed on the PK. I thought he'd be a good addition to the Pens but never suspected he'd be on the first line one day playing with Sid and looking good. Every NHL team needs a versatile player with a great attitude like Dupuis and also speed just can't really be taught, and he has that.

He deserves a raise but the Pens lack space and he is 34.. how many years could you commit more than 2MM to this player for?
