I had 1. Louisville. Still going to lose because 3 other people picked them to win and I'm in 4th. Fudgesicles.

Technically not part of the NCAA Tourney, but, um, this sounds bad:

http://www.cbssports.com/collegebasketb ... l/21989633

Rush, according to a source within the Pac-12 officiating group, told a group of referees on the Thursday of the Pac-12 tournament in Las Vegas that he would give them $5,000 or a trip to Cancun if they either "rang him up" or "ran him," meaning hit Miller with a technical or toss him out of the game. Rush then reiterated during a Friday morning meeting, according to one referee in attendance, that officials should take similar action against Miller if he did anything on Friday in the Pac-12 semifinals against UCLA.

Yeah, Rush seems to have admitted to it, but said everyone knew he was joking. Guess not.

That's not really something an officiating supervisor should joke about. It should cost him his job- you can't specifically target a coach like that. But it's long been known the Pac-12 is a bastion of corruption with referees willing to follow orders rather than make the correct call.

That Rush story enrages me. As Rocco says, the Pac-12 is HORRENDOUS when it comes to officiating, especially in basketball.

Listen, coaches are nutjobs, even ones at the high school that I have to deal with on a game-by-game basis. But I'd love to know why Rush would even think of targeting a coach who hadn't had even one technical all season long. And joking or not (which I don't think he was, given what CBS reported), you can never ever say something like that. But Rush did work the NBA with Donaghy so maybe there's a tie there.

Wichita State is really something to behold. I couldn't be rooting harder for them to win this game.

No. I didn't get into this season like I usually do and as such none of the teams matter much to me.

Though, if Pitt had made it through a bit more I would have been much more likely to watch, so I guess that could be a contributing factor.

Pitt losing before I even had a chance to think about watching the tourney definitely hurt my viewership to a large degree.

I guess it's not "as bad" since WS obviously is pretty good, but still left a bad taste in my mouth.

The double foul call where dude got b slapped should have been reviewed and deemed a flagrant I foul 2 shots and ball out of bounds...that is the worst call i have ever seen in ncaa final four history....the jump ball call is marginal compared to a player being struck in the head and he gets called for a foul...maybe that guy is related to matt cooke

A-freakin'-men. I saw his name on the pool of officials and my head dropped. How does a known hothead like him continue to get these great assignments? Oh wait, I know the answer already. I didn't see the double-foul in question because I was stuck at work. But the jump ball was the right call. Two hands on the ball long enough to warrant a whistle. I'd have made the same call.
