I'm starting to feel the same way. Stuff does nothing for me anymore. The spontanious hatred like we had blow up Friday night is more interesting

Well, I kind of agree-but when guys like Ruutu or Talbot fought, you know something was happening in the game causing blood to boil. Engelland's fights are all meaningless.

You saw what a hard time the Pens had the other night against the Rangers with this D group getting out of their zone.

I don't get it.

Carolina might hit him hard, and Bylsma doesn't think he can take a hit without curling up into a ball.

Agreed, Bortuzzo couldn't buy a spot in the starting lineup for how long? Now when we need a puck mover more than ever, we scratch Despres and Bortuzzo gets in?

Bortuzzo actually played really well the last few games. Engellend though is a waste.

I agree with both points. Engelland should see zero icetime come playoff time, barring health.

Rookie goaltender, so lets spend the period in our own end instead of peppering him with shots

Just maybe Burtuzzo brings several things that Depres doesn't.

I have been a Despres supporter, but he hasn't played well over the last few games he's played. It seems the only player he plays well with is Letang-whatever the reason. I don't see a huge problem with him sitting when we need our defense to be reliable with Martin and Letang out.

The D the Pens have in there right now simply cannot move the puck or skate it out of trouble, that's what Despres can bring.

And at no point this season has Despres been as bad as Engelland has all year.

Despres was not making good breakout passes, was turning the puck over, was chasing hits, was out of position, couldn't play the PP, and couldn't make any good decisions with the puck for about 5 straight games. When a rookie does those things he sits. The bigger role he was attempting to fill with Letang and Martin out was hurting him not helping him. He should be sitting right now.

Hard to move the puck forward with the D group we're dressing.
