The water is pretty chilly (mid 60s) that time of year, and the weather can be very unreliable. Definitely wouldn't be a comfortable swim.

The biggest thing I noticed when I was over there was that ALL of their food was made fresh. None of this frozen tossed in the microwave stuff.

btW, the hotel I stayed at (Downtown) was like staying in an apartment. They even had utility room is each suite with a washer/dryer.
