I'd believe Friedman way before those clowns over at Flyers Nation.

Totally agree with you. He would be a good addition to the organization, and if you can keep him away from the Flyers even better.

Pretty sure not scoring any goals in the championship game burned them more.

Normally I'd say that to, but I believe they have a HNIC source as well.

Meltzer covers the Flyers for HNIC. Friedman has no allegiance like that.

Why do you suppose it's only a one year deal?

I'm not sold on Hartzell being a NHL goalie. I'm not even sold about him being a AHL goalie. He has some serious holes in his game. His compete level and willingness to battle are there, but not sure he has the physical tools

Is it a one way deal and he is on the NHL roster?

How long will a player be in the Entry Level system?
Players who sign their first contract at age 18-21 are required to sign three-year Entry Level contracts; players age 22-23 will be required to sign two-year deals; and players age 24 will be required to sign a one-year Entry Level contract.

Doesn't turn 24 until end of May so not sure.

After further review: I think because he turns 24 before September 15th in this calendar year, he is considered 24 for EL purposes.

Thessien is a UFA. Hartzell and Zatkoff will battle in the ahl, and hopefully the better will replace Vokoun in 2014.

Malcolm stoned them sure. But a late goal and that 2nd goal didn't help the cause at all.

Nice signing... Depth or trade bait... All good... The kids got ability... And liabilities but... Goalies are commodities that are very precious

Yeah. His team let him down though by not playing to the whistle on the first and allowing him to get to the rebound uncontested on the second. He didn't have much of a chance on the third and was downright invisible on the 4th. ;) He was solid, but definitely outshined by his counterpart. I didn't see much of the tourney, so not sure how he played otherwise.
