I keep thinking Petey going to break out and go on a torrid streak....losing my patience waiting for that to happen, next inning Martin, Barmes, Pitcher....might as well hang a 0 on that half inning.

He'll break out after the Pirates release him. Then he'll get into shape, actually work out in the offseason, and hit 50 bombs for the Cards. I've accepted this fate. He doesn't care because his spot is safe and Hurdle won't dare do anything to upset the delicate little flower.

You're probably right. It's just sad we can't really put anybody at third that will be any better.....Rather just take my lumps with Petey and hope he goes on that streak, then watch JHay, Inge, or whoever at third.

You're probably right. It's just sad we can't really put anybody at third that will be any better.....Rather just take my lumps with Petey and hope he goes on that streak, then watch JHay, Inge, or whoever at third.

With any amount of luck Inge will hit decently when he gets called up and El Blimpo will be shamed into trying hard. If Inge struggles? Forget about getting anything from Pedro this year because he'll know that no one will take his job.

I saw Inge in the Spring. I don't see him pushing anybody. If Alvarez continues to hit below .100 he could replace him but I don't see him as much of an improvement.
