I'm not Bizarre Foods adventurous, but I do like to try new things.

Friends of ours, however, are very picky. We invited them to Root 174 two weeks ago and they said "Yubb, I don't like to eat the food that my food eats." That blew my mind because 1) there was only one vegan dish on the entire menu and 2) it was an amazing meal.

They, instead, prefer Cioppino. While it was good, too, it's just very safe. In fact, I hate when people say "I love Italian food" because 1) everyone likes Italian food and 2) saying you love Italian food is like saying you like dinner. And of course I'm referring to Americanized Italian food (Olive Garden). I'm sure the real stuff is quite extraordinary.

Nope. Fermentation does not inherently mean alcohol is produced; yogurt is made through fermentation of milk, for example. It just means converting sugars to some other form using bacteria or yeast.

I've definitely missed out on some things, though.

This. I'm also a texture person too, as if the food as an odd or unfamiliar texture there's a good chance i'm not gonna like it.

I'm a picking eater because my taste buds are specific, not because I think eating something I don't normally eat will kill me.

Ehhhh, sounds gross. I have a specific mind on what I like to eat and, even though I'll try most things, I'll also spit out most things. But only if if smells nice. If it smells like dung, I won't put it in my mouth. But that's my mentality on everything. Keep things I like close, and the rest can go to hell. I am not an exotic eater at all.

Do you go to nice restaurants and order chicken strips off the kids menu?

Like those weirdos who go to an insect restaurant and eat a chocolate covered grasshopper to be cool or something. No offense, PF, but it's not like you would make an actual meal ouf of it, lol.

What does bear taste like? My mother has a frequent bear visitor she wouldn't mind whacked.

My current girlfriend when I took her out to eat would it. She also would get kids meals at fast food resteraunts. Let's just saying she has expanded her diet hanging around me over the past few years.

I guess she couldn't handle me making fun of her everytime and gave in. Now she is at the level of "picky eater" that you ladies claim to be

I would like to go to Canada and try horse some time. You just have to look at the animal as a draft animal/beast of burden like a cow or sheep and not think about the fact that the horse is a horse. I have no allegiance to horses, they are creatures that have cost me a considerable amount of money via racetrack and simulcast so I'd partake.
