Off topic, and I haven't been around much lately so i'm out of the loop, but PLEASE tell me these recent Pitbull gif postings are an ironic "good luck" pic post, unlike Filet-o-Fish (b/c Filet-o-fish commercials are awesome, and Pitbull is a pile of garbage festering in rancid diapers)

oh yeah, good to see 87 back on the ice!

For the rest of my life, I'll associate Pitbull with this season and specifically the 15 game winning streak. Here we go.

From a medical perspective this is an outstanding sign. It basically means he has healed enough to not require further infection, passed the period with the highest risk of infection. I would not be surprised to see Crosby trying out a few different devices although secretly he probably already has. From my experience at Pitt Med we not only have one the best orthopedics programs in the country but our maxillofacial surgery is tops as well. Crosby and Martin clearly received outstanding care and have evidence of healing in about 2 weeks those repairs will be stronger than before. Crosby is set right now and will be back for the playoffs with little ill effect. Martin still has to get over the hump in terms of scar tissue effecting tendon function but looks good that the let him stick handle as well as skate. Neal reportedly symptom free. Malkin day to day.

Today was a great day for penguin hockey

Absolutely. I had seen the commercial numerous times and thought it was annoying as hell. Then one day I saw the gif and for some reason it totally cracked me up.

It's such a goofy and cheesy gif you just have to love it.

I have no insight, just calculated reasoning I guess. I would say he has to get over the mini hurdle of no discomfort skating for a couple days, then actually going in a full practice or two.

I would say his personal target date would be New Jersey next Thursday, Ottawa on Tuesday if everything goes alright.

I don't expect him at all this week

I don't think I knew anything about this dude prior to the commercial - but when I saw it, it reminded me of the "old guy at the club" bit by Chris Rock. "He ain't really old, just a little too old to be in the club."

Anyway - great news to see 87 on the ice! My complete guess would be that he'll play in the last regular season game.

Unless someone asks me to name each of the Beatles, I never think of George Harrison. I think that would literally be the only way I would ever think of him, if asked that specific question.

Since I know people will get all :scared: at Crosby missing practice the next couple days, it appears his grandmother passed away over the weekend. If he's not on his way home now, he will be soon enough.

Oddly enough, the Crosby Molasses Company is based in Saint John NB, about 4 hours from Sid's hometown. I've driven by their plant dozens of times while down that way - it's close to the racetrack ;)

Ha, thanks Tico. I will do my best to chime in more often from now on.

And yes Topshelf, I was off kicking Edgar Allen Poe too.

Glad you guys picked up on the reference.

So sorry to hear about Sid's and his family's loss. Prayers.

I don't want Sidney playing in Boston; but buffalo? maybe.

They had a version of the Pitbull gif on ThePensblog where the Pens logo popped up instead of the Bud Lite logo. Now I can't find it.

Crosby, Neal, Martin all on the ice early again today. Malkin still in street clothes watching.

Looks like Hartzell is there as well. Welcome to the NHL - now go play against Sid, Neal, and Martin
