I was just there March 28th... it was 22 degrees.
It just went from being a cool event (because of the once a year rarity, special day on New Years where the whole fam can get together and watch etc) to just another ho hum thing for the sponsors, not the fans. This isn't about doing something good for the people who watch the sport, to welcome hockey back from the Olympics (as if any real fan will miss olympic hockey for 2 weeks), its aout plastering advertisments everywhere and putting 24/7 coverage of the 'charade' on NHLN for 2 weeks straight. Factor in the almost guaranteed **** hockey that is a byproduct, especially that game in SoCal, and I'm just not into it. It went from being special, to meh.

Before the Winter Classic here in Pittsburgh, I had a co worker say to me, how cold it willl be (before we knew what the weather was going to do) to watch a game outdoors in January. Dummy happened to be a STH for the Steelers. He didnt use his head when he said that to me. Haha
