That has to be one of the most disgraceful fights I've ever seen. First of all, don't challenge someone when you are wearing a visor. Second, if you're wearing a visor, remove your helmet. Third, wait for the other person to be ready, and don't cheap shot. Fourth, if you ARE gonna cheap shot, don't miss and fall on your face. Fifth, if you get caught, try to put up a fight, at least. Sixth, if you get owned, don't taunt the guy who owned you from the box.
I wouldn't worry about the Pens giving up goals when they are up 5-1 and down a couple of centres... after pounding the Habs esp in the 2nd in resposne to how aggressively they came out, it looked to me like they were just coasting to the finish line... the 4th goal was sloppy but there were 10secs left.
watching MTL you get that awful feeling of what happens to a team that has lost confidence, is looking over its shoulder for the next hit, and really has only one like (Plekanec's) it can look to to generate O.
if you havent seen that photo-essay from the Stars photographer on Morrow, have a look since it just says it all about the guy. when i was growing up in the 70s going to Pens games, a team captain... well that was someone really special. Remember when Lecavlier got named a capt of the Bolts, the debate about whether he was too young, etc.? well, we have three captains on this team. Enjoy it while it lasts.
imagining a healthy Pens team for the playoffs is making it hard to sleep!!!
Actually like 18-1 with him in the lineup... he missed the NYR loss.
As happy as I am for the team and for us, I'm even happier for Eaton. As a proud member of the PDAS, I am also glad to nominate Mark Eaton for this years "The Piece" Award (theme song: "Ready, Steady Go" )
I was watching the 2009 Stanley Cup Championship DVD last weekend and Eaton spoke quite a bit it in it. I just thought of how great it was to have him back where he has had the most success; he played a distinct, positive role in winning that Cup.
Since the trade deadline the pens have scored 22 goals (and are 5-1).
The goals were from: Guys not on the roster a month ago = 10 Guys not on the roster a year ago = 5 Guys on the roster multiple years = 7 (and of those only 2 were scored by the combination of Crosby, Malkin and Neal)

Wake up, RS!!!
Dupuis - Dupuis - Dupuis
But if he plays both wings, who will be in net?
I'd prefer to see something different, so that it will free up Dupuis to play other roles... Jokinen - Crosby - Dupuis (I think you could call it the swiss army line) Crosby - Dupuis - Jokinen Dupuis - Jokinen - Crosby Glass - Adams - Kennedy
