Or is Evgeni playing today? wait and see. He has had big games against Boston.
*saw that T Vokoun will be in goal.

Glad SiD and Neal are skating!

That's terrible news to me. That tells me Sid isn't playing until maybe mid first round or early 2nd round if we get that far.

Terrible news for trying to develop chemistry before the games really count.

Didn't like Bylsma saying this at all today.

Also, does that list include Malkin? If it does then Geno isn't coming back anytime soon either.

Ugh...

That doesn't tell me that at all. Sid is skating and working out. They want him to be in top shape for the playoffs. He will be back for Game 1. Just hope that St.Louis or Stamkos don't get any points the rest of their games :\

I don't understand how crosby wouldn't be back during the regular season. I still think he plays 3 games before the playoffs.

So, you think he plays tuesday? Highly doubt it.

IDK, I'm starting to panic a little bit too. Rationally, the fact that he's skating tells me he should be at least back to practice any day now, but each passing day he's not just really makes me worry. I'm not as worried about Geno yet because I'm assuming he's just resting and could go if needed but it sure would be nice for him to actually play a game. A week or two ago I was confident everyone would be back for the playoffs and we'd be fine, but now we're a little over a week away and it seems Sid and Neal have made no progress since they started skating and Geno just keeps sitting too. The pessimist in me keeps envisioning a first round where 87/71/18 sit the first few games and we go down early and lose again, which would just be a nightmare...

Bylsma was quoted saying that he isn't rushing anyone.

Geno and Sid don't need to play before game 1. Neal I would argue either way.

Sure hope he is completely wrong about this. There are NO easy games in the playoffs. Would like to see all hands on deck for the first round.

Makes no mention of the playoffs. No reason to bring players back when the conference is all but locked up.

Maybe to get rid of some rust? Can't expect everyone to just turn on the switch and play exactly like they did before being injured. There is something to be said for playing hard going into the playoffs. Remember the 8th seeded LA team last year? Having to play hard going into the playoffs worked OK for them. Sure would be nice to at least get some time with the playoff lines so they could get use to each other. The last three years of going into the playoffs unhealthy has me a little gun shy.

I'm taking whatever Bylsma says with a massive grain of salt, to be honest. They are really cryptic about this stuff. It's incredibly annoying for us but they have their reasons.

Karlsson is coming back from a severed leg muscle way ahaead of schedule. I think everyone will be fine. Perhaps Martin is being targeted as the first to come back because he has been out the longest and they are aiming to get him some regular season warmups before the meaningful stuff starts again.

I'd say there is no way Paul Martin plays any of the remaining regular season games. He's supposed to be out at least two more weeks and there really is no reason to rush him back.

Aye, one wonders if Bylsma was tongue-in-cheek there.

I could see Martin vs Carolina just to get some minutes back under his legs.

Getting rid of the rust is wayyyyy less important than healing and rest.

Martin is the only one who I think needs some regular season minutes. Pick a game, dress 7D, and let him skate for ten minutes or so to shake the rust. Neal, Sid, and Geno will probably be themselves by the second period of the first game they see.

Ovechkin had 3 points. He is only 5 back with 3 left. I'm going to stroke out in anger if he wins the Art Ross in addition to the RR. And I'm sure if he gets both they will give him the Hart.

So to review he doesn't deserve anything and he is going to get **** everything. I'm so angry at the unfairness of this. Sid needs to play Tuesday. Enough. Enough is enough....I cannot take this **** being stolen again.

I'm fully expecting he will play on Tuesday in light of this **** AO is trying to pull. Practice with the team for 2 days and go. This is not going to happen AGAIN. Enough.

I don't think him coming or not coming back has anything to do with Ovechkin doing anything. No reason to risk Sid's health for the scoring title. Now if he is 100% ready and cleared thats different.
