The Pittsburgh Penguins’ unrestricted-free-agent-to-be, Jarome Iginla, won’t be on the market until July 5, but his house is available right now.

The 11,000-square-foot Calgary home of the former face of the Flames hit the open market over the weekend, according to multiple reports. The gated two-story luxury home is situated in residential Elboya (628 Brittania Dr. SW) and overlooks the city Iggy once ruled.

For $3.9 million (MLS list price), the prospective buyer can look forward to an impressive wine cellar, a chef’s kitchen, spacious graffiti-adorned bedrooms with walk-in closets, a four-car tandem garage, a media room with bar, and a built-in backyard “sport court.”

Sounds like he's not planning on going back to Calgary in the off-season.

"the prospective buyer can look forward to an impressive wine cellar..."

I'll bet Mario is checking to see if there's anything in there of great vintage and value to purchase from his new employee.

I don't want to read too much into it but I always thought if he wasn't resigning here he'd go back to Calgary, not play the "Iginla FA sweepstakes" game. Hopefully Shero is able to keep him in the offseason.

would love to have Dupuis back on a cap friendly 3 year deal (would probably take a 3rd year for him to take less annually) and Iginla on a reasonable 2 year deal..... but obviously, alot is going to depend on what they do/how they fell about Malkin and Letang extensions

As I have stated in an older thread. Remember he chose to be here over other competition. This is no where near the Hossa situation and more like the Ray Bourque situation in Colorado. Iggy has made his money. Even if we do fall short of our goal this season. I see him giving it another go here and if we win I see him probably doing the same. Once you get a taste you want more. At his age he can still be the productive winger. As for Morrow I really don't know. I expect Crankshaft though to go for the $$$$$$

I keep hearing Iginla to L.A. to get back with Darryl Sutter. I don't know if this is feasible with L.A.'s cap situation and roster.

I find it creepy that the press releases his home address and pictures of his house.

But most real estate listings don't have names attached to them...Obviously, it was known where he lived and they put 1+1 together, but I still think it's creepy.

Maybe in the offseason L.A. will clear room for him. I hope he wants to stay in the Burgh.

With the cap dropping next year. If Iggy doesn't win the cup this year and wants a legit shot next year, he's going to have to accept the fact there isn't going to be a full amount he may want going his way.
