Paul Alexander does this really odd uncomfortable faux-laugh where he goes hahahaaaaaaaaa where the haaaaaaaa is a higher pitched drawn out muffled noise that kind of sounds like a teenager oohing and aaahing over a baby. It's really weird

Good for him. I was a big fan of Junker and Crow back in the day. Working in radio seems so tumultuos to me. He's been off the air for years now.

so if one works a 4 hour radio show every week day, how many hours/week of work is that?

I feel like some guys like Madden probably just surf the internet for hours looking for stuff to talk about...then there's guys like Alexander that just show up, run their mouths for four hours then just bail. So, i'd say there's a high variation.

Well...i know there are some people who would be able to answer that question, I don't have an answer for you.

One of the guys I work with used to be in radio advertising sales. Atleast at his station, the jockeys had pretty meager salaries, doubt it's an hourly gig...they supplement their income with all of those appearances at events. But that was Kiss or somethign like that, i think the sports talk guys probably do a little better.

I'm pretty sure guys like Madden and Alexander aren't punching a time clock. Salaried.

I often wonder about salary for the Fan guys as well. I guess that "imports" like Giannotti, Filiponi, Vinnie all were offered enough to relocate here. Most of the local guys have other gigs working for papers (I think all but Colony do) or TV gigs like Root (Alexander) so they must supplement their income.

I worked part time in radio in a small but Arbitron tracked Central PA market and can tell you that only the best and most dedicated ever get to the point where they can make a decent living doing it. Part time Studio Announcers (don't call us DJs) were minimum wage, at that time $4.25 an hour. I was doing it because I loved doing it, it was like a hobby I could make a (very) little bit of money doing. I'd love to do it again once I'm not running kids all over Beaver County for sporting events anymore.

They definitely have show prep to do, researching topics, stats, etc. Plus (God forbid) keep in mind they have to actually watch the games.

Whatever you think these guys make for their radio gigs, I'd bet it's less except maybe Madden and Alexander.

I think Colony supplements his income by technically being a reporter for 93.7. I vaguely recall him talking about teaching a class at Duquesne as well.

Prisuta & Todd are doing a live show at some bar & sound hammered, like slurring hammered.

Also they're referring to the Steelers as "we"-isnt that against journalist rules?

I think he's in the 100K range. I remember reading somewhere about his monthly salary when at ESPN and it would have been around that. Altho he was doing a weekly national show at the time as well.

LOL Poni is seriously arguing how Charlie Batch won a game in Baltimore. He told Ken Laird to name a big game Landry Jones won. This is 100% staged. No way even Poni is this stupid
