It doesn't even make very much sense in theory. Maybe if you moved Neal back to the LW and have him play the "puck-retriever" role, then I'd be okay with it. But Iginla is not that guy. And Neal playing on his off-wing is not going to be that guy either.

It gets me in a tizzy because integrating the returning players back into the lineup without losing momentum is the single biggest challenge ahead of this team. This kind of thing could cost the Pens a couple games before they figure out their chemistry, and that in turn could lead to an upset.

Yes? On the power play? Where he doesn't have to worry about defense in his own zone + breaking out from the left side, and working the cycle in the offensive zone?

I guess things are good when we are making a big fuss over lines we haven't seen yet cause 1/3 of them aren't even back.

Good times.

I'd rather have Neal and Sid in our top 6 than not. Order is secondary.

But that's just me.

I'm even less into the draft. I didn't even know it was on.

Gaucho, are you native to Germany or have you just lived there are a long time? If the former, then you're the first German person I don't really know who's even cognizant of the American football draft.

German all the way, I'm afraid. I know a few people who have a casual interest in American Football, and the Bielefeld Bulldogs have their sights firmly set on promotion to the German top flight, but I don't know of anyone following the NFL draft. Not that many people beside me care about the NHL draft...

Not maximizing the potential impact of your biggest trade deadline acquisition is a fairly big deal, IMO....

You go with the one line that has been dominant every game played together and throw other lines that might work but won't be liabilities on the ice. If Sid, Malkin and Neal didn't get injured we'd have all this settled by now but it's not.

At least the defense is settled and will all be back to normal Saturday provided Oprik is fine. Just need the team defense to ay well regardless of scoring goals. Those will come.

Not a day goes by when there's not some discussion about lines, good times or bad. And it's not hard to infer Blysma's plans.

He practices with one set of lines in the morning skate. Sid gets clearance to practice. And the gametime lines have been shifted around... Therefore, we can deduce these lines are in preparation for his return.

Also, just want to point out that whatever line Morrow is playing on looks like the most dominant line in the game.

 :o

I remember watching old NFL Europe games however long ago that experiment was, and Germany had something like 5 teams.

More than he has on the left (the pass from Morrow last game comes to mind). He actually looks like the player we traded for on the right. On the left, well... it's as plain as day. Come on now.

Josh Yohe ‏@JoshYohe_Trib 1h Marc-Andre Fleury's wife has not had baby Estelle yet, nor is she in labor. Lots of rumors flying around to the contrary

Apologies Mr. Yohe with this news.

Let's hurry up and win this game Pens!

point being, he only has one ES goal with us, so he's not exactly killing it from either side.

I do. That was the best both Malkin and Neal have looked all season. They were flying around the offensive zone like raptors.

That's fine. I'm not talking about point production though, but more about how he contributes to all facets of the game on a shift-per-shift basis.
