I think that's a stretch. Bylsma has been moving the lines around a lot lately (An example being Malkin with Iginla & Bennett last night, then Kunitz & Neal this morning). Bennett is bound to get some playoff games in depending on matchups. He's way too good not to. Not to mention there are bound to be some injuries. You'd have to think Beau would be the first guy Bylsma would insert into the lineup once that happens.

Well... it seems he's going to play LW on Sid's line :? I still think it has disaster written all over it.

Good thing they didn't put 71-14-18 or we could assume by a tweet that kunitz is centering malkin and neal :scared: :scared: :scared:

Both Molinari and the Pens tweeted that it was 12-36-9. Given that Bylsma has been using Iggy on LW, I don't think they're wrong.

It's pure speculation, of course, but it sure looks like a line of spare forwards to me.

Yes, it does. But that doesn't mean Beau isn't going to play in the playoffs.

If I was coaching that PK, I would do man to man defense and make Letang beat me.

Heck I'd let Letang be wide open the whole time and force him to shoot it.

I don't like the idea of having essentially 4 completely new line combinations going into playoffs. It's been over a year since 14-71-18 played together, and the fact that it worked last season doesn't mean it'll work this season.

And I never claimed it did. Fact is that BB will have a hard time cracking a healthy lineup, because the Penguins, when healthy, have an abundance of what BB mostly brings to the team.

considering the statuses of sid and neal, the top 2 lines are going to be new no matter what.

different story for the bottom 2 lines, but i've said plenty about that.

Pretty sure you and I are saying the same thing. While Beau will have a hard time cracking the lineup, he'll still get into games as a 4th liner depending on match-ups. I'd be shocked if he didn't play at least a handful of games this spring.

Why is Iggy on the left side and Dupuis on the right......... SO obvious to everyone how much better Iggy is on right.......

Bylsma logic.
Iggy is a RW, always has been. Dupuis was a left winger but has played both. Therefore Iggy plays the left and Dupuis plays the right. Get it?

...me neither

With the added media attention of the playoffs, Cooke will be suspended at least one game if he doesn't drop his stick and help someone up that lost an edge.

Not that it matters much but how long do you think Sid will wear the protective mask? Another week or two? Through playoffs no matter the length?

He can only wear it as long as the NHL allows it. Full shields, cages, and jaw protectors are illegal by NHL rules except when the players is recovering from a facial injury; as soon as they say Crosby could play without it, he'll have to.

What's the league going to do? Send their docs to see if he can play without it? if he wants to wear it through the playoffs, I have trouble believing the league will say anything about it

Quincey has been wearing his cage for about a month now, right?

I'm fairly certain he can play without it, but he still is.

I'm guessing Crosby wears it through the entire playoffs then comes back next year without it.
