The Jackets had to have accomplished that with their last 2 games. They were (-) pretty much all year

First time ever in the history of the Blue Jackets that they are within 20 points of the Red Wings in the standings.

Nice matchups in the West and pretty awesome that the final game of the regular season has some significance.

Outside of the 1-8 matchup, I agree with you. Detroit matches up pretty even with Anaheim. If Schneider is hurt and Luongo has to start, I think SJ will win the series. StL-LA is going to be a physical 6 or 7 game series. I actually think this sets up well for the Blackhawks to win the west.

SJ won all three games against the Canucks. Let's see which team has the bigger loser mentality.

Luongo. He doesn't want to be there, his contract is guaranteed....I don't think he cares.

Word is Schneider may be hurt worse than people think. So the Canucks could be stuck with Luongo in Game 1 after this debacle.

Makes me sick that Columbus has to sit at home while Minnesota gets ***** slapped out of the playoffs by Chicago.

It isn't going to be close. Actually, it might lead to Mike Yeo being canned.

I'm not going to be rooting for either team. I don't really have a preference between Ottawa and New York.

Canada must be going nuts.

Boston Regulation win = habs vs leafs and sens vs pens
Boston OT/SO win = habs vs leafs and sens vs bruins
Sens Win = habs vs sens and leafs vs bruins

Am I the only person who thinks Loungo is a better goaltender than Schneider?

I think Loluango is better but he is a complete head case come playoffs.

Eh, I think its overblown

I don't think Luongo has shown anything to indicate he is anymore of a headcase or choker than MAF

Besides MAF getting the job done and Luongo constantly being blamed for his team's exits.

 Don't be ignorant and snarky.

There is a reason Loungo got the start over Fleury in the olympics and won gold for Canada. Everyone knows what Fleury has done in the playoffs the last 4 years and I don't even think its his fault!

Any of the 3 goalies on the roster could've been in goal for Team Canada and they would have won.

Saying Luongo is a better goalie because he actually played is doing a disservice to both Fleury and Brodeur.

No worries. I didn't mean it snarky and hopefully I'm not being ignorant. I just see quite the difference between Fleury and Luongo when it comes to postseason success.

????

I'm just saying that it didn't matter who they put it net because the team out in front was that good.

I'm not quite sure where you're getting any of that from.

You need to CTFO, bro.

Which is irrelevant.

This is blissfully ironic that its coming from you.

I can't even count how many times someone has disagreed with an organization's decision regarding something and you've posted some **** about professional scouts/managers of professional hockey operations know so much better than anyone on message board. Which is a complete fallacy in itself because that Glen Sather and Joe Sacco were/are a Coach and GM in the NHL.

Bottom line is - the coaching staff for the Canada National team thought Loungo gave them the best chance to win.

or did they play him in Vancouver because he was a Canuck?
