Has anyone gone to a Ticketmaster 'paperless ticket' event before, particularly @ Consol? Heading to the Black Keys show on Tuesday, and it is a paperless ticket event. This is what the Ticketmaster paperless ticket FAQ says:
What is Credit Card Entry/Paperless Ticketing?
When you go paperless (available on select events), you get through the gate with two things you're carrying around already: your photo ID and your credit card. No paper tickets means no forgetting them on the kitchen counter!
At the gate they'll swipe the credit card you used for purchase (you won't be charged again), check your ID, and hand you a slip of paper with your seat location on it. Easy.
What happens at the gate?
It's pretty much the same as picking up tickets at a movie theater kiosk or picking up your boarding pass at an airport kiosk. All it takes is a credit card swipe (you won't be charged again) and a quick photo ID check to admit you and your party! You'll get a slip of paper with your seat locations on it so you know where you're going.
The above leads me to believe that I just go straight to any entrance gate, like I would if I have a ticket, and they do the card swipe/ID check right there, vice going to Will Call to do the card swipe ID/check. Anyone confirm? I've emailed/called Consol but their customer service is very unresponsive. With the added security at Consol recently, I'd expect this paperless ticket deal to add a decent amount to entry time.
