They are pretty loud. Louder than the ambient crowd noise.

It was shoulder to face.

Haven't seen any replays, but real-time it looked like shoulder-on-shoulder but drive Faulk's own shoulder pads into his face.

Pretty sure it was Morrow's shoulder pad to Faulk's face.

It was shoulder to face....which is legal, but probably ticked him off.

Lower Bowl observation.

The "wooers" were girls ranging from 13-16 from what I could tell... at least I hope it wasn't a male voice making that sound from the various locations around my section.

Oh no, there are males in 214-215 doing it.

I've never heard someone doing it that sounded like a female. I hear them often doing the normal cheer when something good happens that goes "wooo" but without the obnoxious inflection on the beginning of the "oooo" sound.

Anyone try to use the 20% of code for TeamPittsburghSports.com from Saturday night? I actually would like to order a shirt and of course its not working. It expires today so it should be good to go? Anyone?

Despres needs some work.

He's missing some confidence, I think the coaching staff may have crushed his spirit whilst trying to iron the 'unsafe' moves from his game. In the long run this is good, he will be more reliable and consequently a better defenceman. He might look a little lost as the pieces fall into place, but when he combines the safe plays with his flair and swagger I see the makings of an extremely exciting player.

 at crushing his spirit. He received that bigger role due to injuries that people like you swore he was ready to take on and faltered. It's not a big deal, it's to be expected as a rookie. The rest of your post I agree with.

Yes, I find it odd that one of the main criticisms of Byslma has been that he's not playing Despres enough, but when he does have him in the lineup and Simon faulters, this isn't seen as an indication that Dan's judgement was correct and the Despres isn't as ready as we'd all like him to be. Instead, it's a sign of DB mismanaging young talent.

I know this is old but for some reason I never repiled...

@Pavel - who are the 'people like me'? The fact I've supported Despres doesn't mean I've annointed him the next Bobby Orr. I know the value of developing defensemen slowly but going from healthy scratch to being forced into a greater role due to injury is a very different scenario than I would like to have seen.
@Great58 - I find it odd that you can't distinguish between gradually building a player's minutes through regular games as opposed to healthy scratching coupled with benchings for rookie mistakes. Just because I don't agree with HCDB's choke chain approach doesn't mean I disagree with Dan's judgement that Despres isn't as ready as we'd all like him to be, I'd simply opt for a different strategy myself.
