White Out 2013

Postby manicmonday18 on Sun Apr 28, 2013 5:48 pm

So do yinz guys think the white outs will still occur this year? If so, will we be receiving shirts like we did at the Arena?

The official playoff shirts are gray so my assumption is yes and yes.

Thoughts or conjectures?

I have heard no white outs, no shirts. There will be towels as long as there are sponsors.

I never understood the whiteouts when we wear black for home games. (and yes, I know you can't do blackouts)

I would find them cooler looking if we wore white at home if that makes any sense.

Didn't say I thought it was a bad idea. Just never really got the whole gist of it besides the "look" factor.

That's a sick shirt. There's a soccer training academy in Cali with that name...they should include that as their logo

What other benefit is there other than the "look" factor? I would think that would be enough. To each their own though.

I thought the official playoff shirts were the ones the players wore last night during the Jersey give away?

I know exactly what you're saying and I kinda agree. However, the whiteouts are just cool in general so I'm all in favor of them.

Everyone should wear red shirts and call it a Red Alert.

They gave them away for free at the gates, everyone had the same color on just like every other every other building in the nhl.

Change: They forced you to go buy them at Dicks to save money after a 60% increase of playoff prices in 2 years, half the crowd might have white on at best and it looks and feels like a failed attempt and a moronic idea.

Either give them away or don't have it. Simple as that. I like when the crowd is in the same color, on TV it looks pretty cool. At the games it was fun, but if we roll the Islanders in 5 nobody will care.

I don't think there's going to be any "_____out", with that shirt. Just something for the fans to buy if they want to.

Although the Pens are the only team in the league to have one... Just seems like a blackout isn't/shouldn't be allowed for obvious reasons.
