Stop buying houses in Peters Township

Postby AlexPKeaton on Mon Apr 29, 2013 9:59 am

Seriously stop it. I go to see a house and a few hours later call my realtor back that I want to see it again and it is sold. THEY ARE REASSESSING WASHINGTON COUNTY YOU FOOLS! The tax break is not going to last!!! (I actually work in washington county so I want to live there)

haha, I understand this frustration. The home that we are closing on in May, as soon as we saw the listing we knew it was an awesome deal. Literally handed our realtor the good-faith deposit check as soon as we walked out of the house the first time, and had the offer accepted the next morning. It was a Thursday, so I was quite worried about more people coming to see it over the weekend.

As long as rates are artifically low and supply is limited (surveys show the majority of home owners think next year will be a better time to sell), anything available is going to come at a premium.

I recently listed my house and had three showings in three days and was under contract for 97% of list price in four days.

Welcome to the newest bubble.

Yeah it is a big bubble now. I should have bought last summer, I missed the boat on this I think. I'm actually thinking of busting some contingent offers since I don't need to sell my house on some of these, which is a really ***** thing to do.

Its perfect for all those who want all the benefits of living in nicer South Hills (school districts, no crime, environment, etc.), but prefer suburban-rural rather than suburban-urban (yes i made those terms up)
