Junker and Laird are on TribLive Radio now. I'm biased but I think they do a great job.

I downloaded the android app for triblive. Totally forgot about that they were both on there. My ex wife road the same school bus as Ken Laird.

Meh... Minneapolis cares a lot more about the Vikings than the Wild. Might as well say you hate America if that's your criteria

That's true about the Vikings. When I came here I thought I was coming to you know the "state of hockey" and all that, but the Vikings definitely get way more attention here.

Yea... same, the Twins are too

Its still cool to see how big college hockey is though

That probally could change if the Wild could form a good team year after year. Hard to get excited for a team that is a dud year after year (this year not withstanding) no matter how much you love hockey.

Then again maybe it won't. Problem with MN is although is a rabid hockey state, it's never really been like that for pro hockey. The North Stars for years drew average to poor crowds (the year we faced them in the SCF they only drew 5,000 people the first home game of the season and that coupled with a horrible owner led to the team's relocation.

Now the Wild's attendance has been better (for years they had a sellout streak).I always felt them losing the Stars finally made them stop taking the NHL for granted but until they put out a consistent quality product (only four playoff appearence out of thirteen seasons including four seasons in a row where they failed to quality from 08-12) they will still battle for media attention from the Vikings and even the Twins and even then it will be a struggle. It does help they finally made the playoffs this year and there were able to generate fan excitrment for the club by signing Parise and Suter.

Just my opinion though.

Dunlap is floating the theory that the pens have pressured Crosby's doctor to not clear him until round two.

He does a pretty good Pittsburgh accent which is funny. But I agree Chris Mueller used to own this time slot.

Does anyone know why Colin Dunlop had to call the police at 1:15am this morning during his show? Im assuming something about a phone call obviously. So anyone listening and can maybe let me know what happened?

I turned it on around 1:35 and some guy was on and it seemed like he knew the person Colin had to call about. Colin said something like "what if there had been kids out, I mean kids aren't going to be out at 1:30 in the morning, but..." Colin also said something about how the phone lines were open and how nice it is to call unless you're Dale, then said just kidding. I took it that the guy's name in question was Dale.

This is speculation but I'm thinking maybe the guy had a little something to drink and was driving home and called in. Colin said his cell phone was ringing and he'd probably have to talk to Johnny Law during commercial. The caller said he already had talked to them.

Perusing Twitter, I still can't quite make it out. Someone said Colin was doing his "civic duty." Colin tweeted a text he received from Bellevue police saying Dale arrived home safe.

I had the incredible misfortune of hearing Filliponi talk last night about how Dupuis is going to be the highest priced FA this offseason.

Fortunately he is now able to do his NBA show in drive time.

Main reason I won't listen to that show. Man would rather talk about a league/sport that no one cares about in this town and that doesn't even have a team here and a basketball team (LA Clippers) that's over 2,000 miles from Pittsburgh than the local hockey team that successful. I mean he said it on twitter he would rather talk about the NBA than the NHL and for that I refuse to listen to that show (on top of it being unbearable to listen to of course).

I don't live in pgh anymore, so don't know about him being on there (and I also can't tell if you were serious), but he was Pitts 3rd wr

known for being a bit of a clown / big personality

Image

I always thought he underachieved here... guy had some talent. Was a 4 star recruit with offers from Michigan, UVA, WVU

Pitt Career (didn't' play much fresh / soph)
Junior year: 19 catches 207 yards 1 td
Senior year: 16 catches 229 yards 1 td

Also did some return work

Text Dunlap something negative 2 or 3 times during his show. He'll text you back saying you better realize who he is and that he played FB in high school and has your number. He'll then threaten to call you after the show.

My friend told me this happened to him and I didn't really believe him so tried it out... Pretty much the same thing happened, with a blocked number calling me 8 times after his show.

What is this guy 12?

Yeah, Sadler was a chinadoll.

He also fumbled the ball out of bounds at like the 10 during a kickoff in the 2009 Pitt vs Cincy game instead of letting it bounce out and get the ball at the 45.
