My Question Is Why Did Bylsma Play 7 Forwards In 3rd With Score Tied? Bennett Didn't See Shift Since PP In 2nd. I See Bylsma Having Trouble Adjusting Or refusin To Make A switch. I Didn't Expect Tying Goal With All Forward Dead Tired

Think Bennett was the extra guy when they pulled Fleury. Not certain about that though.

We were outplayed big time.. From the 2nd period get go I knew we were in big trouble.. No big spark from most of the guys,no fighting for the every inch of the ice,Blysma with his stupidity as well, playing with 2 and half lines in 3rd... Engelland should sit, bring in Despres if Brooks aint ready... Jokinen should get more minutes.. IGGY I think should get time with Sid,he would be more motivated, get him that extra spark..
Kunitz goes to 2nd line with Geno,BB goes to RW.. Refs were awful at times again, especially this Cooke hate is disturbing big time!

I wonder if the reaction to losses is worse on Friday and Saturday nights, due to an increased chance of alcohol consumption.

I wonder if Bylsma will continue to pound a square peg (Iginla) into a round hole (Malkin).

Those two don't play well together at all. Period.

He sucked when it mattered. Late turnovers, not skating to the right spots, basically doing his same old stupid free lancing crap out there that rubs off on everyone.

As each day passes, I dislike Malkin more and more.

Malkin made a bunch of turnovers, but he was one of the few Pens who seemed to have jump all game long too.

Frankly I should get some credit. The quality of lulz from posts that are still being posted in my GDT the next morning is a real achievement.

The Isles outplayed the Pens, got some good bounces, benefited from officiating, etc., but Fleury is a headcase. If you don't know it, the Islanders do. They were just putting any shot on him because, well, you might score on him from anywhere. He's come back from a lot of these kinds of games, but damn. That goal after the Okposo fight (WHY WHY WHY WHY WHY, by the way. I watched that and all I could think of was Carcillo v. Superstar) was a backbreaker.

Complaining that Malkin turns it over is like complaining the sun came up today: it's going to have, there isn't anything you can do about, so stop talking about it. When a player had the puck as much as Malkin does, he's going to turn it over.
And another thing, I don't think I've read a single person give the Islanders any credit. They played their bags off! They kept tight gaps and frustrated the Pens. Kudos to them. Not every lose is the Pens fault, you know. There is another NHL team on the ice.

Yes, the Isles deserve a lot of credit. Nobody likes being written off after just one game.

I see the term "fragile" being tossed around alot in this thread when describing the Pens - i think just because many of us are fragile when things go bad, doesn't mean the Pens are.

Ups and downs of playoff hockey - Pens will win this series, and none of the remaining games will resemble game one.

Hey, they scored 5 goals again last night, usually that's enough to win in the playoffs.

If anyone has the game DVR'd. Watch Fluerry between goals three and four. He doesn't look like himself. It's interesting to watch, you can visibly see him lose his composure.

I'll give the Isles credit, they played an awesome game (for them). Howie and Ken (The Isles announcers) even mentioned that it was one of their best games of the year (if not their best).

I just don't see them being able to do it three more times in the next five games.

Win the next two boys, and bring it back to the CEC so we can clinch on home ice.

They played their butts off. The Isles were blown out in Game 1, on the road for Game 2, down quickly 3-1 and Crosby returning, yet they were going at it like it was an elimination game and got some fluke goals simply because they were working hard as hell.

I didn't like the Pens' effort from start to finish at all, but the Isles came to win that game and I give them SOME credit for accomplishing that. Pens' playing like they were already crowned SC champs hurt a lot, but the Isles showed that you had better respect them or they may in fact beat you no matter what your talent level or who is in the line up.
