There was a Hills on Perry Hwy in the North Hills.

What is it now?

The only Hills I knew of in North Hills was at North Hills Village back when that was an interior mall and not the storefront strip-style it is now. This one is before my time.

Wait... North Hills Village is a Strip mall again?

It was a strip mall in the 60's and 70's... it only changed to an interior mall in the late 70's / early 80's or so.

And now you're telling me it's a strip mall again?

I'd guess it's been a strip mall for about 10 years now. Best Buy/Target are the anchor tenants.

ok. i was thinking about Northway Mall. What would that be considered nowadays?

Interior, but I can see why you'd say weird hybrid.

The transcription here is glorious. 100% spot on. :fist:

I think it's "tellin' you" and not "sayin' to you," but I'm so glad you got the real spirit behind it! LOL! :fist:

Wow, I completely forgot about Children's Palace. I'd always go there and then if something I wanted wasn't there, I'd hope for a trip to toys r us where they would inevitably also not have it.

Yeah back in Robinson Town Center's hayday, they had a Children's Palace, a Phar Mor, and a Hills... IIRC.

Here's one from the archives: David Weis department stores. I used to go to the one in Oakland.

Let's see (I stole a lot of these from previous posts):

I have random cravings for pierogies, sheetz, primantis and chipped ham

I say buggy, "Red up," sweeper, pop, and Stillers (Can't help it, comes natural)

I often times randomly include mentions / stories of Pittsburgh way too often / get upset that most people here seem to think of it as a dirty, ghetto, city . I also get upset of all the connections people make to Philly here. "OOO your from pgh, YEA MY COUSIN LIVES IN PHILLY!" or "OOO I LOVE THE EAGLES!"

Kennywood is awesome

Rolling rock is my "go to cheap beer"

I still listen to pgh sports radio while I work

25% of the time I wear Pittsburgh sports gear (And that increases when one team is any form of the playoffs)

People here ask where I'm from so apparently I have an accent

Elby's sponsered a 20K roadrace (footrace) in Wheeling for years... It was an absolute killer... you ran stright up the side of the mountain. Uphill for like a mile and a half. What a challenge.
