We've been hearing that they would spread throughout the U.S. in a couple years for 30 years now. It's not happening.

Many people around the world regularly eat cicadas. They are known to have been eaten in Ancient Greece as well as China, Malaysia, Burma, Latin America, and the Congo.[6] Female cicadas are prized for being meatier.

Mmmmm, meatier.

Africanized bees don’t tolerate cold temperatures as well as European honey bees, so they’ll eventually reach a point where any further expansion is barred by the climate. I don’t believe they could survive winters in Pennsylvania, so I think we are safe.

Sucked one up with our Dyson the other day. Spun him around in there for 10 minutes. Didn't die. Emptied the canister with him in it into a plastic bag, tied it up, put it in a trash bag, tied that up and threw him into our garbage can outside.

If you want to stab your eyeballs out, Google image search a scorpion carrying its babies.

Supposedly they have already reach AZ. Can't say I've ever seen them anywhere down here or heard of anyone who has seen them. Maybe they are just secretly working their way directly up to eastern PA to visit Shad.
