i had big beef with goblet of fire. the competition seemed too goofy. so harry gets all worried that if he doesn't find this mystery clue that will tell him where the next challenge is, he's gonna lose or something. it takes all kinds of good fortune for him to figure out that he needs to take a bath with the annoying ghost girl who will tell him what to do next.

Cut to: everyone in the magic universe headed over to the next challenge - knowing EXACTLY where to go. what the hell was the point of making the kid get nude with a ghost?

also...it totally didn't add up that they'd put these kids in such peril. the thought of a little magic dude getting burned alive by dragons or dragged to hell by water goblins was beyond silly. the tone just didn't add up whatsoever.

maybe the book made more sense, but the movie was full of holes

Don't know if you read the books at all, but I'll add this:

I like most of the movies, but the books (as usual when come first) blow the movies out of the water 10000x. Really worth a read if you never have and you like the movies.

The Raven was pretty bad. Interesting take on the last days/death of Poe but that's about it. I feel like this movie/story had tons of potential but didn't meet the mark. Cusack was decent as Poe. Everyone else was terrible.

The Raven was a terrible, terrible movie. It's like they wanted to give Poe the Downey version of "Sherlock Holmes" spin.

YES! THANK YOU! I was searching for that notion. It felt like they were trying to do something and failed miserably and that is it. :thumb:

i cant tell if it was a deliberate choice to change daisy or if just sort of happened in editing, but she was more heartless than carefree and superficial as she was in the novel

i spent the whole movie trying to ignore tobey mcguire.

Schwarzenegger for toxic avenger remake? Probably the strangest/gnarliest movie news I'll hear today.

It might be on the account of the pain meds I'm on, but This is 40 was about 2 hours too long.

I wasn't particularly fond of iron man 3. Everything seemed to be going well until the mark suit orgy at the end

There were a few scenes I liked, but it was definitely too long. That could have been a 75 minute movie.

I'm pretty much at the point where if it has Robert Downey Jr. In it, i'm seeing it.

One thing that still bugs me about iron man 3...

Spoiler:
if all it took was a surgery to get the shrapnel out of his heart, why didn't he do that right off the bat? The reactor was literally killing him in IM 2.

all his movies seem to be like that. Maybe he should just release trailers, because they always make his movies look better than they are.
