I think people tend to make sweeping generalizations about the movies they enjoy. Young Frankenstein may not be one of my favorite movies, but its one of my favorite comedy films, if that makes sense.

I don't see anything wrong with someone saying a comedy is their favorite movie. Some comedies are amazing. Would Dogma be considered a comedy? I would say so and it's certainly one of my favorite movies. I think it depends on the movie itself and whether that movie meshes well with what you consider to be a good movie.

I don't understand why ranking comedies high on your list influences how anyone would perceive my opinion. If I was saying things like Weekend At Bernies and Porky's were among my favorite films, then that's one thing. But the structure, story telling, editing, music, acting, etc in those films I listed are on par - if not better than - something like, say, L.A. Confidential. (Which I think is a fabulous movie, btw) They're just of a particular genre.

Don't try to understand. Idoit has his own thought patterns that differ from normal humans. :pop:

love me some susanna hoffs. i remmeber in the "behind the music" for the Bangles, there was a decent chunk of it that dealt with the fact that she was really hot and the rest of the band was far, far from it.

The only other Bangle that I didn't dig was the drummer. I thought the redhead bass player and the guitar player both had it goin' on.

I think there's a difference between it being his favorite, and him saying it's the best movie, right? People have different tastes

Honey I Blew Up The Kid
Land Before Time 2-458
Geico Caveman Sitcom
Halloween II by Rob Zombie
Big Top Pee Wee

Interesting thing about Rob Zombie, House of 1000 Corpses was cut off your eyes horrible, but The Devil's Rejects was actually a decent movie. I also wonder about all the cable skin flicks that are like part 8 or 9. Wonder if there was valid reasoning to make all those sequels and how well they follow the plot line.

I like skimming through the adult channels on the DirecTV program guide at work and reading the movie descriptions out loud.

My roommate and I used to do that when we were scrolling through channels. Like, who thinks of these things?
