Can you believe we got Marian Hossa as a throw-in in the Dupuis trade?

Pascal Dupuis made a promise to his wife when the Cup arrived at his home in 09. He has a good chance 2 deliver .. http://sulia.com/my_thoughts/690ca480-b ... ce=twitter

“In ’09, we won the Cup, and I was happy to win, but I was not one of the key guys that made the team win," he said. "When the Cup showed up that summer, I told my wife, 'I’ll win it again, and I’ll be a big piece of the puzzle to get it again.' Since that day, I don’t know, things have been going pretty well."

I wonder if he also made another promise to his wife... "honey, i am going to get a FAT *** Contract in the summer of 2013 and we are going to live the rest of our lives in luxury"

With 6 goals in 7 playoff games (including a shortie), the PDAS needs to ramp up and be a little more engaged!

Question: Anyone ever see a PDAS sign at the games?

When he scored the shortie I had really mixed emotions - are we going to keep Duper or Iggy?!

I'd love to see a PDAS sign or tshirt on TV :fist:

PD snubbed for Selke. Where's the outrage?

Wingers are ineligible. Ask Hossa.

His name isn't "Pavel Datsyuk".

Although, funny note on Slappy's post, the last winger to win the Selke since 1991 was Jere Lehtinen (he won it 3 times, last one in 2002-2003).

Definitely true there for the last decade or so. Ridiculous too.

Dupuis is really playing at a high level no matter which line he's on and he's going to get PAID this off-season. It'gy s whether the Pens can work the budget around paying the man. I don't see any chance of Morrow being signed due to a lack of interest on the Pens' part, and Iggy is probably 50/50 at best.

If it comes down to Iggy or Dupes, I'd take Dupuis any day over Iggy at this point in their careers.

Good piece on Pascal Dupuis from Mike Colligan. He feels that Dupuis is comfortable here, and will get a multiyear deal in the 3-3.7 range. As always, Colligan's a good writer.

Dupuis might literally be my favorite Penguin of all-time. He is just so awesome in every way that a human being can be awesome. His goal celebrations are funnier than a Louis CK stand-up. He doesn't even do anything spectacular either, his facial expressions are just priceless.

He's pretty much a must sign this summer. He's in the prime of his career and brings so much to the table. front load it as much as possible and when he's 5-6 years older he would still be a valuable 4th liner.

Duper is probably at that stage where he'd take an extra year or two instead of another million per to ensure stability. This is exactly the sort of deal that Shero (correctly) refused to offer Gonchar. It makes more sense here.

I ran the stats last year on who was more valuable per dollar between Hossa and Dupuis. Only a few seemed to agree that Dupuis was the winner in that scenario. Now this year, there's the PDAS. When Duper signs that deal with the Pens this summer I'll be getting myself a Pascal Dupuis jersey. Book it. :thumb:

I would officially like to put in a request to be on this band wagon. Duper is playing at an All-Star level.
