NASCAR driver dead of suicide per TMZ.

Maybe he read us making fun of his name last week.

He was 71. One hell of a midwestern short-tracker, mostly ASA, from Wisconsin. First race at the Cup level in 1970, last in 2002, with a best finish of 3rd (5 times). He did win the Winston Open in 1990, the non-points race to get into the All Star Race at Charlotte. He had 2 wins in what was then the Busch Grand National series in the late 90s at Hickory and Darlington.
