He's gone downhill so much since he started working at the Trib in terms of the quality of his writing. That and him blocking anyone on twitter who shares a dissenting opinion from him is so bushleague. He actually blocked me from twitter and all I did was ask him a simple question. Responded with his trademark "Why don't you read the actual article" line he always spews out.

The Pirates seem to have discovered that when your pitchers strike out a ton of opposing hitters and your batters hit home runs late in games with guys on base, your team tends to win frequently.

The Bucs are 7-3 in their last 10 games. Unfortunately the Cards and Reds are also 7-3. Such is life in baseball's toughest division.

The Pirates are 17th in the majors in runs scored, 19th in BA and OBP, 16th in SLG. They're...almost average offensively.

El Blimpo's reward for his moon shot last night is to sit for Inge tonight. I get sitting Pedro against tough lefties, but against Bedard?

Temporarily retiring the derogatory nickname for Sanchez since he's doing his job these days. 1-0 Bucs.

The Bucs are getting 90% of Prince Fielder's production at 1B with the Jones/Sanchez platoon at about 25% of the cost.

Inge 0-2 so far tonight. Hurdle started him because he was 6-13 against Bedard over his career, ignoring the fact that Inge is a corpse. Sigh.

Great move to play Inge tonight, Clint. Tie game. Pirates offense will have to wake up again.

The Pirates have scored 24 runs for AJ in his 9 starts so far this year. They've scored 18 runs in Gomez's 4 starts, and 18 runs in Liriano's 2 starts.

Can't believe they aren't going to score this inning.

Edit: Inge to the rescue.
