I don't know what's stranger: that the Pens got 7, and Geno had no points or that Neal had 2+1, and Geno had no points.

BTW, Geno was fantastic in this one.

Geno's linemates combined for 4 goals, and Geno had no points.

I jest, but I would think the "4 goals from his linemates and no points" is even stranger.

Great job tonight. It's nice I finally see some adjustments made and carried out. Hats off to the 4th line tonight, getting some time and killing the clock. Sid's adjustments on the faceoffs will definitely be brought up by the Sens.

It was beautiful to see Cooke set up that shorty. No place in the league for those Goons.

I repeat, Sens are toast.

I guess the forensic evidence will be in the form of an autopsy.

I think it's possible that Alfie's throwing down a challenge to his team.

"He can't go out like this!" is the battle cry for Friday.

I don't necessarily believe this. I'm just providing another angle.

This team honestly has issues finding their game ad it's scary how often it happens. My post before was just pure disappointment.

However, I still contest Letang was awful tonight in his own end. Like, brutally bad.

Ottawa just isn't very good. That's the reason why they're down 3-1. They got the benefit of playing maybe the weakest number 2 seed in NHL history because of a shortened schedule. This is like Round 1.5.

I'm revisiting my earlier post about Alfredsson's postgame comments. Maybe I do believe it.

After hearing all of Alfredsson's comments in context, I think the notion that he has quit is overblown and probably unwarranted. I think he's simply keeping it real in recognizing that his team has a tough hill to climb against a stacked team. People have been counting them out all year, and the Sens have flown under the radar and quietly put together a great season. His comments, imo, allude to their underdog status; they've liked being underestimated all season.

Alfredsson reportedly took the puck, but I think he's signaling to the team that it could be over unless they come back and fight. I don't believe for a second that the Sens are going to roll over on Friday night, and I hope the Pens aren't overconfident. The Sens have come this far; they're going to fight for Alfredsson, the long-time face of the franchise, to the end.

Occam's Razor refers to the simplest answer usually being the correct one. So, if it sounds like Alfie's quit, then maybe it's so. But, Sun Tzu warned never to underestimate your opponent. I'm taking Sun Tzu over William of Ockham in a best-of-7 every time.

Just one fan's opinion. FINISH THIS ON FRIDAY.

From listening to his comments, I think they're nothing more than a gut feeling followed up by a realization that spitting those feelings out in words probably wasn't the best idea at the time. I don't really think he feels that way, much like fans don't really feel their team is going to lose the next 4 after a bad loss or win the next 4 after a great win.
