BTW, Geno was fantastic in this one.

Geno's linemates combined for 4 goals, and Geno had no points.

Like you and others are always telling us, stats aren't everything?

The stats won't show how bad he was on the PP that gave up in the SHG![]()

Alfie offers the opposite of the Messier guarantee. Oy.
I repeat, Sens are toast.
I guess the forensic evidence will be in the form of an autopsy.

After hearing all of Alfredsson's comments in context, I think the notion that he has quit is overblown and probably unwarranted. I think he's simply keeping it real in recognizing that his team has a tough hill to climb against a stacked team. People have been counting them out all year, and the Sens have flown under the radar and quietly put together a great season. His comments, imo, allude to their underdog status; they've liked being underestimated all season.
Alfredsson reportedly took the puck, but I think he's signaling to the team that it could be over unless they come back and fight. I don't believe for a second that the Sens are going to roll over on Friday night, and I hope the Pens aren't overconfident. The Sens have come this far; they're going to fight for Alfredsson, the long-time face of the franchise, to the end.
Occam's Razor refers to the simplest answer usually being the correct one. So, if it sounds like Alfie's quit, then maybe it's so. But, Sun Tzu warned never to underestimate your opponent. I'm taking Sun Tzu over William of Ockham in a best-of-7 every time.
Just one fan's opinion. FINISH THIS ON FRIDAY.
#SexyPens > #PeskySens (saw this elsewhere in the webz--haha!)
