Yeah, I chuckled at all of the teary-goodbye stuff aimed at him this week. Great player, face of hockey in Ottawa, but a real feminine hygiene product at times.

That is well done. I had forgotten the Tucker one. He went over and celebrated like it was a goal. Shows how much Tucker was hated.

I think they scored while tucker was on the ice. Hence the celebration.

Alfie should guarantee retirement, it would assure his return for the 13-14 season.

lol, some of this was pretty funny.

When I think of Alfie, I always think of that shot towards Niedermayer. Classless and cowardly.

You play as many hockey games as Alfie has, you're likely going to have a few d-bag moments. Not defending his actions against Tucker or Niedermayer by any means, but those don't take into context the vast majority of his career.

Yeah, I thought it was funny, but stuff happens. Sid and Malkin will have quite the d-bag videos once they're done.

I don't think I've ever seen either of them shoot a puck at an opposing player or try to crosscheck someone in the head. There's a line there somewhere.

If sid ever slapshots a puck at someone I'll call him a scumbag too. A guy had his heart stopped by that before.

Malkin crosschecked Couturier in the head, but he totally deserved it....

Letang crosschecked someone from the Canes in the head in 2009 as well.

But smurf is a career loser, so this kind of stuff just highlights that fact.

You could just as easily make one for Gretzky, Lemieux, Howe, etc.

All good players have a little dirty in them. Have to be able to combat the cheap stuff directed towards them.

Not defending Alfie's stuff, that's an entirely different ballpark.

Not sure what you mean. I'm not a fan of Alfie, but the guy has played on a bunch of good if not great teams, including a Cup finalist team, and the Swedish 2006 gold medal team. He'll retire as the best Swedish winger ever, right?

If you mean no Cups, ok.

Some players hit the golf course after their season finishes, but Scumbag Alfresson hits a ping pong table at a seedy bar.

Postby Pucks_and_Pols on Tue May 28, 2013 4:33 pm

On my way into work this morning I heard Bob Errey on the radio saying that Alfie and Karlsson were golfing at Oakmont between games 1 & 2 in Pittsburgh. Has anyone else heard anything about this?
I know its not a huge deal, but you would think this is the time of year that a team locks itself in and conserves as much energy as possible, not having their 40 year old captain and star defencemen coming back from an injury kicking off to play 9 or 18 holes during their "off" day.
Either way, they have plenty of time to work on their golf games now, thanks to their efforts against the Penguins.
