@TSNRyanRishaug 1m
My Sources strongly suggest Dallas Eakins will be Oilers new head coach, an announcement likely in the next few days. Krueger to be let go.

Vigneault has the same problems Bylsma has; playoffs adjustments are his nemesis. So hell no on him. Ruff cannot get a team to the playoffs. Boucher will stifle the creativity out of the team, but that might be a good thing. Boughner is a newbie, but he has coached the spitfires to 2 championships and has been involved with canadian juniors with great success. So, yeah Tippett, King, etc. Torts would never happen. Used to be a Dale Hunter fan, when he was in london, but now that he had problems with the Caps I am off that soapbox. Geesh, the list could go on and on and on. Hartley, Carbonneau, Crawford....ad nauseum. Who do I like? does it really matter? I am not GMRS.

Tippet and Ruff are my 1 and 1a choices. Either of those I would be thrilled with...

Ruff was employed by an organization who was on a budget more years than not. There's a reason he is on team Canada's coaching staff with the likes of Babcock, Julien, etc.

Fourth Period is reporting that a change behind the bench is unlikely.

That's fine as long as Dan overhauls his philosophy on how this team should play hockey. Anything less, and people need to immediately remove Ray Shero from the pedastool he's on.

Right there with you. Still have a Tocchet 92 jersey with the 25th/75th/Badger Bob patches. Met him once and he was extremely cool when he didn't have to be. What a warrior.

So your answer is yes, you don't understand the subtlety that is an assumption that The Pens should replace HCDB.

Let me spell it out for you.

He U-N-D-E-R-A-C-H-E-V-I-E-D meaning that he didn't live up to expectations. So there's an implication in the thread that the inevitable has occurred. That GMRS realizes that the team needs a change where the HC is concerned.

The rest of this thread is predicated on that simple fact.

You able to follow that?

Top Coaching Candidates
Experienced: Dave Tippett, Rick Tocchet, Alain Vigneault, Lindy Ruff, Paul Maurice, Guy Boucher, Mike Sullivan, Glen Gulutzan
1st timers: Ulf Samuelsson, Dallas Eakins, Dean Evason, Mark French

...I'd like to see Tippett with Tocchet and Samuelsson as his assistants.

When pressed on his job status before Game 4, Bylsma reminded everyone, “I coached this hockey team in 2009.” haha really Byslma? you THAT arrogant?

For some reason I am drawn toward thinking of Ruff as our next coach. I don't think I would like to see Granato promoted to HC, I get the feeling if that happened nothing would really change.

That article is so much bull:

"The Penguins could also use one or two of their compliance buyouts this summer, with winger Jussi Jokinen and defenseman Paul Martin possible targets"

If the Penguins exercise buy-out on Martin - their best defenseman right now, we might as well give up.
