The supporting cast is so one dimensional and goofy that it takes the show down a few pegs in my book. But Tony is still a hell of a character

Carmela, Christopher, and Paulie are all really great three-dimensional characters, but yeah, some can get annoying, especially AJ.

Rewatching Breaking Bad in prep for the finale. Wild how deep some of the themes run. Brian Cranston is unbelievable in S1, and its funny to see Jesse so completely immature.

I'm almost done with the season. Love it.

Does anyone know if it will continue?

Yes, the original deal for House of Cards was for two seasons, so there will be at least one more season.

I'm almost finished with season two of Arrested Development. I had no idea how many known actors make cameos/have small parts in this show.

Mad Men.

Does anyone have an opinion on what exactly Bob Benson's purpose is? Iirc he spent the first few episodes of the season carrying several cups of coffee around, sort of trying to make himself useful. I think what irritates me every time he appears is his profound out-of-placeness. He looks like a prototypical 80s yuppie, making him a walking anachronism. Weiner tends to include those quirks on purpose, it seems, so maybe he serves as a device that points to the future, anticipating what is to become of the agency, advertising, society. Somewhat agreeable and not unpleasant at all, but at the same time shallow and facile, utterly devoid of imagination and depth.

caught part of an episode of Anger Management on Fox tonight. Don't know why I thought that show was on FX? Then we watched the first hour of the falling skies premiere.

Then caught the last 15 mins of the TNT premiere of King and Maxwell. Will watch the beginning of the pilot on reair here in a few mins.

Ok, Ep. 6 of the newest AD season has been the best so far, IMO, with Gob. The Tobias episode is a close 2nd, but Tobias is probably my favorite character on the show.

My least favorite episodes by far have been the George Sr. ones (although Ep. 5 was better than Ep. 2)

i have 2 left and I've really forgotten about some of the average episodes from this season. I don't think it's been the funniest, but I've come to the conclusion that it's borderline genius.

I agree with this. The Gob episode was my favorite one for sure, and the George Sr one's were my least. George Sr is hands down my least favorite character from seasons 1-3, so I am not surprised that I didnt like his season 4 stuff.

I saw a few minutes of Real World yesterday. Is that show where the idea for hot chicks with dbags came from?

I thought that show stopped when the full reality tv wave hit. I guess it was just lost in the shuffle for me. Or maybe I just forgot about it because I stopped watching those late afternoon dating shows like Next and was thus done with MTV. :pop:
