NSA director: 'DOZENS' of terrorist plots foiled by surveillance programs

Sweet! And it only took violating the privacy rights of 300 million Americans to thwart operations that may well have been scuppered anyway.

if they were foiled, i'm sure they'll have no problem disclosing what those plots were and how much extra crap they had to sort through to get to them.

Fast forward a bit. Next elections, do you vote for... Christie or Hillary or nobody?

Santorum/Bachman... Three cheers for actually puting some of this NSA Prism data to "good use"

Spoiler:
Do I have to even explicitly state that I'm NOT serious?

What would be interesting is that if a focal point of the election were to become who would be most likely to roll back the intrusion on civil liberties under Bush/Obama, it may not be a guy like Rand Paul (but it may)- but it sure as hell ain't gonna be Hillary.

I wouldn't count on it. Only 53% of people disprove to varying degrees with the programs at this point and that election is three years from now.

I wouldn't count on it either...but seeing how similar Obama has been to bush in many significant ways; even idiots might, just might, realize Hillary will be more of the same.

...yeah, probably not.

I’ve never really cared for the term “sheeple.” Recent events are forcing me to re-think that position.

http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/worldviews/wp/2013/06/11/report-syrian-rebels-executed-a-14-year-old-boy-for-insulting-islam/

As horrific as the Syrian government has been, these are the neanderthal savages that we are going to support in Syria. To add, we may even help them emigrate to the United States. This is the big problem over there. The "freedom fighters" are often religious dirtbags that would behead someone for looking at them cross-eyed. I'm of the school that we should just let them murder each other until they are nearly extinct, but that's obviously not realistic
