Sleeping Dogs, I don't think I enjoyed a final mission as much in a game as I did in that game in quite a while. Putting someone through a wood chipper is always fun haha.

You know what. I am REALLY going to miss driving that yellow Lamborghini when I'm done with the game. That is one of the best driving cars in any game I played.

I might get the one DLC to play some more missions. Last of Us comes out tomorrow though, so probably not. That game will consume all my time.

One of the problems with games in that general genre (like the Grand Theft Auto games) is that one can’t talk about them in public without sounding like a raging psychopath. For example: “Man, I’d just pulled my low rider out of the customization shop—and it looked really sweet with the custom chrome and nitrous and everything—and this moron promptly runs into me and tears off my bumper. So naturally I had to chase him down, drag him out of the car, and beat him to death with a baseball bat.”

hahaha I remember doing something similar. But in games like GTA I wasn't allowed to get the car back very often. So that guy had it coming.

Hopefully in GTA V I am allowed to get my car back somehow and not have it lost forever because I had to do some mission.

If consoles just mandated installs for everything, they wouldn't need to use that much space.

Yeah, but that doesn't get you anywhere. Sure, it might make the download a little quicker. But even if it's compressed, the install footprint will still be that 20+ gb. For example, the download file for Bioshock Infinite was about 14 gb, but the install footprint was 20 gb.

did you happen to visit any of the Nintendo booths?

I went through there (their booth is always next to Sony) but didn't really look at anything. Not much of a Nintendo guy.

In GTA: San Andreas I kept a number of the nicest, customized cars in my safe-house garages specifically for fast, comfortable travel back and forth between the major cities. I’d also keep a Stafford around (based on a Rolls Royce) to impress women on dates. I’d switch to a different car before starting a mission so that I wouldn’t lose them. It would really tick me off when I’d hop into a car I’d spend a lot of money customizing to take a simple drive from San Fiero to Los Santos and some jagoff on the highway would promptly swerve into me.

that's the problem with cars / collisions in Sleeping Dogs. moment you lightly hit something, your hood is all mangled and your car looks like hell.

Have fun. I loved the game, but like many games that take forever to play (in a good way) and I absolutely love to explore, I stopped playing it eventually. I think I did beat the main mission, IIRC. It's such a beautiful world to explore.

It's really far down my list of favorite RPGs, but for free you can't complain.

Yeah, not really a game I would spend money on, but who says no to free.

Do you get to keep it if your gold membership expires?

Never got that far through the main quest, probably played 80+ hours though.

haha, that's the thing. If you buckle down and play through the main quest, you could finish it relatively quickly. But who wants to do that?

I figured now was as good of a time as any to take the plunge. Pens are done, don't care about baseball and it's a couple months until any shows I really care about come back on so... :scared:

You are downloading the PC version? If your PC can handle it, there are apparently a ton of awesome mods you can use. One of the funniest things about the Skyrim universe is apparently the ability to place a bucket on the head of an unsuspecting store owner, at which point you can steal whatever you want at will because you aren't in his line of sight.

Some of the funniest screenshots/GIFs I've ever seen come from the Bethesda games.

I still think Oblivion was the best of the games...aside form the main quest. Skyrim had the best main quest of the ones that i've played. WHich is to say that I got a reasonable way through it rather than only doing what was required to get into the world.

Fun game so far. I'm at 34% and finished the story mode. I love these Lego games as soon as the story mode is finished because you have all of the characters you need to openly explore everything, including free play on the story mode boards.
