Pens up for awards

Letang- Norris(we already know it's Subban according to the media)
Shero- GM of the year
Crosby- Masterton, Hart, Lindsay

Looks like half will be awarded today and the other half tomorrow.

The photo really does make the NHL look a "garage league," doesn't it?

4-4-8. He stocked up on 3rd place votes. Like getting the 8th seed because of your 20 OTLs

These are regular season awards. He can put 6th place Jack Adams finalist right below Atlantic division champs on his resume.

It's interesting that Quenneville and Bylsma coached under similar circumstances to similar results during the regular season, yet Quenneville received 4x more points.

Duper finished 7th in the Selke voting, with Kunitz and Crosby in 13th and 15th, respectively.

Surprisingly, Letang was 5th in voting for the Lady Byng

It wasn't the three games, it was the MS.

Rumor that ovechkin won hart. That would be really irresponsible of the media.

Nothing surprises me anymore. Him winning the Hart is a perfect ending to this season. By true definition of this award it should go to Tavares. If he wasn't on the Isles there is no way they make the playoffs. Caps were in the worst division and easiest schedule in the league because of it and could have still made the playoffs. The pens still had success without Crosby.

Media has never voted by the true definition of the award so they should just change it.

It would send a bad message to kids and young players if Ovechkin won. Play up to your talent level half the time and you are good to go. Its OK if you're a lazy POS that drags your team down. A flashy month is good enough.

I said at the end of the season AO would win it because the media is a "what have you done for me lately" crew, just like everyone else.

It would be disappointing with the year Sid was having to come away empty handed again.

I'm not saying Ovie should win, but Tavares did zip the last month of the season. Not a PPG player, and finished 17 in the league in scoring. No way he will or should win the Hart. I would have had Kane as a finalist personally.
