Smoke is my #1 fave place right now. The BLT taco is awesome, and ya gotta try the mac n' cheese (yes, with tacos) - best I've ever had. Also, if you don't go BYOB, the lemonade and other fruit drinks are awesome. Wing night on Thursdays with gorgonzola sauce.... heaven. But it's up to armpits with hipsters on Fri-Sat, so I prefer weeknights.

Sounds like a good place. Im in Munhall/Homestead to much for work so this looks like a wonderful place to eat. I also need to try the Pgh Taco Truck that is in Braddock on Tuesdays 5-8.

J-Barn, if its still there (sarver).
Shanghai Tokyo (sarver) has good asian food/sushi.
Hotel Saxonburg

I think there is one other place that I can't think of.

DC folks apparently need to avoid this place;

What a great, scathing review.

Saxonburg isn't really close the Natty.

Every place in town is some kind of comfort food.

The most popular restaurants are both on that main drag - Anchor Inn and Do Drop Inn. Harrisons was a newer place in the plaza but I'm not sure if it survived the fire there last winter.

Actually Tarentum Station is probably the nicest place around now that I think about it.

If you want to go a little further up 28 then The Villa in Ford City is classic.

There's one at the bottom of Banksville Road too. Never tried that one but I did try the one in Delmont. It wasn't bad.

Comparing it to Clems (since it's on the same stretch of road, although about 20-30 min apart), it's a distant second. To me, it was missing that smoky flavor.

Yep- just picked up brisket, Philly, and chicken/apple tacos from smoke today... , they're awesome. The place just smells like heaven. Can't recommend it highly enough.

This is probably dumb question but can you wear shorts and a Pirate jersey to Nakama? Was thinking of going there in a couple of weeks before a Pirate game.

Went to the Green Forest yesterday. Probably not going to go back, one of the meat waiters was a jag to my wife after she hesitated for literally ONE SECOND when he asked her if she wanted something. Quality has gone downhill IMO.

Baked.

I tried it about 6 months ago and was unimpressed. People kept raving about it, so I gave it another shot, and it was great.

They close early (7 on weeknights, 5 on Saturday), so keep that in mind.

Red Onion has an amazing italian hoagie as well. I like that one better than Bethel Deli.

South Park Road may just be Pittsburgh's "Hoagie Row" between Bethel Deli, Subway, MM MM Pizza, and Jim & Lou Lous.

I really like their fried chicken.

I haven't been there in ages, and it's just a couple of blocks from my apartment.

Wanted something different for lunch today and went to Madonna's Mexican Food on Smithfield. 2+ lbs veggie burrito. Really solid. $6.50.
