Wow. I generally enjoy these Sunday Sports shows no matter what, but I just turned on that KDKA train wreck and it was nothing but a buffett of unlikeable. I couldnt switch the channel fast enough.

Two other alexanderisms that came to me today

- when your best player is your hardest working player, good things will happen
- as long as your longest winning streaks are longer than your longest losing streaks, you will be successful

Did you hear Alexander's wake up call? He called out some Dallas fast food chicken place for running a promotional campaign with regards to the Dwight Howard wooing. He lambasted some chain down there to let them know the free chicken they're offering is not going to have an impact on where Dwight Howard signs...hah, seriously why is this man on the radio?

Was it Popeyes? I'd move somewhere for some free Popeye's for as long as I lived there.

Either that or there's a sale on Bill Cosby-style sweaters at Kohl's.

Has anybody ever made more of a career by repeating the same thing over and over than Fillaponi has?

Poni is a little better with a cohost, but I still don't like him.

He was trying to make a big deal with the Dupuis deal today by saying he doesn't understand why they signed Dupuis, but got rid of Max Talbot. Even Alexander was like "what?".

I females that still say the same thing, not realizing that he left, the Pens did not "get rid" of him.

The morning show lost me a little today when the hosts were talking about where they get their hair cut while Bob Errey was calling in. You could tell Bibsy was a bit perplexed, perhaps frustrated at this topic.

I might even look past the "getting rid" of Talbot (as in the term being used interchangably for somebody who somebody who wasn't retained by the team), but choosing Talbot over Dupuis? :face:

LGP.com got name dropped by Poni today. So clearly he knows he is a board favorite, lol. He talked about RJ tracking the anthem singers.

I don't usually listen to the guy but one thing that irritates me: his inability to clearly say the word "it." Maybe I am being a stickler as a one time radio person but he says it through his nose or something and it comes out "ih." Like he was a valley girl.

This is something my Program Director in podunk Williamsport would have mentioned to me as a point of improvement if I'd done it, and this guy's a pro with a Syracuse degree. Pronounce the "t", bro(ny).

Poni opened te show with how Neil Walker is having a disappointing season, once Ron Cook agreed Poni began to say "well I'll take 17 HR and 40 rbis, that's not bad"....Cook was flummoxed and said "I thought you started this segment criticizing Walker and now you're defending him"
