That would be the league altering the results of the PHWA's voting.

So the PHWA is fine with looking incredibly out of touch and moronic?

Pretty sure thats their job.

I don't disagree with you at all. The league should have some sort of oversight to be able to prevent this from happening. Ballots are no longer write-in, league has to review results, etc. Stuff like this shouldn't happen.

The LW votes should've been null and void, period.

Simple, you make the rules say that a player can only be counted once, where ever his highest vote count occurs.

Even voting for Miss America gets audited. I don't know why they couldn't give the results a once-over before going public.

BTW, this screw up cost Taylor Hall $50,000.

Very quick search of Shelly Anderson's and Josh Yohe's ballot info yielded nada.

does Ovechclone make Ovechkin money, or since it's the same person they only have to pay him once?

Speaking for myself, I found it surprising. He's addressing it on Twitter.

Incidentally, I may be in the minority here, but I've always enjoyed his work. I don't always agree with everything he says, but one doesn't have to.

I came to jump on Dejan, but after his explanation (if true), I can't anymore.

He received the e-mail AFTER he submitted his ballot (was a last minute rushed e-mail). States writers were told to vote for whatever position they were on NHL.com before the e-mail. NHL.com wasn't updated / had ovy at LW, so he followed the rules given to him (stated same thing happened last year with Neal listed as LW).

That would be the league altering the results of the PHWA's voting.

So the PHWA is fine with looking incredibly out of touch and moronic?

Subban and Ovechkin winning the Norris and Hart cemented that this year already.

As I said on twitter, my name is cleared.

@npv708: Same here, my NHL All-Star ballot included John Biebe, Gordon Bombay, Doug Glatt, Reggie Dunlap and Taro Tsujimoto #NameCleared
