Picked up a Saison Dupont tonight. Ahhh, hits the spot.

Also got a 4 pack of Ommegang's new Fleur De Houblon. I think I'm going to make a run at trying as many Belgian Pale Ales as I can here the rest of the summer. Hopefully this one is a good one to kick things off.

Also got Lavery Belfast Black (smoked porter) since it was on sale at Giant Eagle for $3 (from $7.99) and a Brooklyn Local 1, which is always good. Too bad I have to work Friday.

Missed the Bigger Hop at East End but did get the Monkey Girl. Really good dunkel style weizen.

I'll tell you what, Ommegang Fleur de Houblon is a homerun. This is a, if not the, perfect hot day beer. Tastes like a hoppy saison. I would guess something like 45 IBU with a nice peppery finish. At 6.8% ABV, this is going to get a fair share of husbands in t-r-o-u-b-l-e this summer. Try it.

Went to Columbia, SC today and had a Conquest stout. Local brewery. Ok, but a little too sweet. Just had Uinta Sum'r. Very, very light and drinkable. Decent.

I've had it several times before, but just enjoyed a bottle of founders Dirty Bastard Scotch Ale. This has got to be in my top 3 favorite beers, easily. Incredibly smooth with a delicious Scotch taste, and the 8.50% is dangerously hidden.

So yesterday we drank beers from Texas, England, Germany, Spain, and Mexico. The theme? Countries who's ass we've kicked....

We counted Texas as part of the south during the Civil War.

Southern Tier Creme Brulee is supposed to be a pretty killer milk stout. Has anyone tried it?

It's very good. Super sweet, so makes a good dessert beer. Lives up to it's name. Hard to believe the ABV is as high as it is because it is very well hidden.

pretty much what MWB said. Like their choklat, they are just way too sweet for me, but they are very well done. the bomber bottle is too much, of all their blackwater series, the OAT is the only one I can sit down and enjoy the entire bottle.

Would it kill them to offer some of those in 12oz bottles? There are very few instances where it's convenient to plow through the large format bottles. It's a major pet peeve of mine with craft beer.

Find a friend who likes craft beer to share it with?

Those bottles aren't big enough for 2 people (provided one of those people is me).

I just finished off a Growler of Yeti Choclate Oak aged.

It was Fantastic.

I have a 9:15 flight tomorrow morning. Guests coming over at 5pm. I haven't even packed yet. Here I am ready to open another Growler of Espresso Yeti.

WHY do I do this ???

Spoiler:
because it tastes so good

I actually tried that a couple weeks ago. Was a solid Wit. I've only had two of their beers, and both were Wits... the other was Wit-o-maker or something like that. I don't remember it super well, but I'm thinking the GW was better.

Anchor Zymaster No. 4 on tap. Summer Spiced Saison. Though I try, still looking for the Sanson that works. Try on...

Stone Ruinten IPA. 10th Anniversary IPA. 10% of pure IPA greatness! Two more of these and someone call me a cab. Happy Anniversary, indeed.

I really like the old wylies IPA, the RT Lager is a good summer beer. Never had the white, but local beer + cans is a plus in my book...

Had it at a party for my nephew. My brother labeled it as "Like Blue Moon, but better". It's kinda similar.

I've been drinking very little lately, a combination of lifestyle and health choices, but the other day I saw this in Giant Eagle and had to buy a bottle just to try. The first couple of drinks it showed some potential, but after a few more drinks it ws like drinking a bottle of liquid smoke.
