Is it me, or have the Bucs been having trouble getting the 3rd out lately?

And as I type that, we've got a strikeout.

Vindicated.

That was pitch number 45 for Cole Hamels; his effectiveness may start slipping, as he holds opposing hitters to a .206 average in the first 45 pitches but they hit .284 off him after that.

Gives me hope the Bucs won't get shut out.

Hamels has been somewhat of a headcase this year. He's been his own worst enemy more often than not.

Pedro, come on now. You're making Hamels look like he hasn't been a headcase this year.

Looks that way. The D has been such a huge part of the first half success, too. Get it together, Bucs.

And the game is tied. Good call pulling Cole after just 78 pitches.

And now it's 4-2. Captain Hook is asleep on the bench now as Mazzaro is blowing the game.

It would be embarrassing to lose this series. I've watched the Phillies a lot this year, and in many games they've looked like Keystone Kops.
