Doubtful any re-sign, but I can't really say I've read anything linking them anywhere.
I thought Joikinen did great, but we really don't have a spot for him on our roster. Murray I'd really like back for another two years to play with Scuderi while some of our other defensemen move up to the roster.
It'd be kind of funny if the Pens trade Jokinen for anything at all useful. Considering Carolina gave him away for free and also is paying some of his salary.
It's kind of weird how Iginla and Morrow in particular were thought to be such huge additions but seemingly aren't drawing big interest on the free agent market. Probably another indication that the expectations for the Pens going into the playoffs were too high.

If someone like Clark Macarthur and Viktor Staalberg are getting $3 million on the open market, I would think someone would take a flier on Jokinen for only $2.1.

I just came in to ask if LeBrun was talking about Brenden Morrow. Wow. I can't imagine playing on that type of injury.
I like B. Morrow. I think he'd be great back here on a wing...however, he probably wants too much cash.
I've always loved the guy and was so excited when he came to the Pens. Maybe he'll find no other takers and try to give it another go with the Pens. I hope so.

Morrow; one of a handful of penguin players who has the mindset to go to the net. I too hope he returns and doesn't end up with an eastern team.

Carolina has shown they don't mind re-acquiring players they have waived and traded before, so maybe RS can convince Rutherford to go ahead and take him back for a middling pick. They are already paying some of his salary anyway
Juicy isn't a bad hockey player because he excels on faceoffs and is good in shootouts, but he's not a center, even for the short-term. He took some faceoffs for Carolina and then bolted back to his wing position where he's a little better. He's also really bad at two-way hockey and always has been. This is a spare part.

Then rightly or wrongly, I put some of the blame on the disaster on Iginla. Like a little kid excited to be taken to an awesome amusement park, he went crazy at the sight of all the fair food and the rides; he didn't realize his eyes were too big for his stomach. He puked on the roller coaster and learned his lesson while splattering the other kids around him.
But maybe Ray shouldn't have taken Iginla's word coming in that he could handle it.
Money aside, it bums me out.
