Looks like in 2011-12 the NHL released their schedule on June 23. The original NHL schedule in 2012-13 was released on June 21.. So, yea it should be soon. Guessing the later season might be delaying it

with the new realignment it will be really neat creating a rivalry with Columbus. But will be nice for the players to visit Carolina a few more times a year.

ALso to rekindle the rivalry with Washington will be neat, not as if it every died.

Only bad thing is the players will only get to visit Florida 2 times.

Just hoping the game at the Wild isn't over Christmas or something when I'll be in Pittsburgh most likely

Is the allure of the Columbus trip going to be lost or are there just going to be a few mass exoduses per season?

I would think there will be big groups. Doesn't MR have season tickets for Columbus? What are seat prices there like? I know they will probably raise them this coming season because of playing in the east.

And because it looks like they are finally putting a real team together. Shocking that the team started playing like it has a spine once Nash leaves. SHOCKING!!!

Season ticket prices are different (I think I pay $45 a ticket for row S behind the away team double attack goal) but when there was that invasion 2 years ago, I think I got two tickets for like $50 a piece in 119 behind the goal the Pens shot twice at (though it was the presale code). I'm not really sure if they've gone up at all, though it'd probably be safe to assume they did since they were on the verge of the playoffs.

They may also offer student rush for the Pens games (they haven't in then past because it's been a marquee game, but with the new division and 3 games in C-Bus, they may offer them). Student Rush was $15 for upper and $25 for lower. Just need to show them an ID, and they go on sale an hour prior (unless you get them online from 12-1).

I'm planning on hitting up the first preseason game in Columbus on 9/15. Once the date nears maybe I'll start a roll call thread and see if any LGPers want to meet at that hockey bar by their arena for libations before and after the game.

Go West, Penguins. The NHL really needs to focus on getting exposure for all teams in different markets since last year saw no East / West games until the SCF.

Vancouver, San Jose, LA, Anaheim, Phoenix and then Colorado. Do it in two waves. Lots of Penguins fans await...

Wake up, Bettman, and make it happen!

IIRC, you play a 1 home / 1 away against teams from the other conference under the new divisions.

Sweet! For us fans on the west coast, it will be nice to see them in the area multiple times throughout the season.

I moved to Minneapolis a year ago. Immediately circled the Penguins at Wild game this year (cancelled because of the lockout) and the Steelers at Vikings game (moved to London).

I was praying for a Pitt at UMN for the Big 10 - ACC Challenge.

I'm starting to slowly accept that something will always happen and I'll never get to see a Pittsburgh team here lol. If this game ends up being on like December 27 I'm giving up all hope

It will be cold and snowy in Sochi, Russia this February. But that's beside the point.

I can tell you with certainty, the home opener will NOT be on October 11th, which is right around the time for the season to start....

Season probably starts earlier due to Olympics. I think last preseason game is September 29? I look for season to start Thursday, October 3.
