It's Terry Ruskowski. Wore #8 and was a LHS. His successor Dan Frawley wore #8 too, but a RHS.

Hit or miss on real or fake. The signatures are their signatures though. I have seen the real version out there and a photocopied version. Any COA?

I really wanted this rare piece and can't seem to find it anywhere anymore.

Godric, I have that same photo as an 8 x 10 that I bought from a sports memorabilia show about 7 years ago for $5. I'm sure there's an original out there but it's widely mass produced it seems.

THis was a cheezy promo they did before a allstar game, they walk and talk about what it was like to be a player and how special it was. Then 3 current NHLers (at that time) skate up to them and ask if they want to play. They declein and tell them the game is theirs now.

I always found it odd that their coats/attire matched their hair color in this picture. By chance or design?

probably not - Ruskowski was gone by then, and Frawley's time as C, that boxscore was the only game vs Edmonton. (FWIW, this game was road black for the Pens - http://news.google.com/newspapers?nid=d ... page&hl=en )

Ruskowski missed the 2/24/87 Edmonton game (home white) - so perhaps it was 12/5/86? http://news.google.com/newspapers?id=NZ ... %2C2855293

Ruskowski was Captain only a short time - so it would almost have to be that 12/5/86 game, which was shortly after he was named Captain after Mike Bullard (wore 22) was traded. They only played Edmonton twice each site that year, and Simpson was traded before the first home game vs Edmonton the following season. (FWIW, Frawley wore 28, and the player after Ruskowski for #8 was Perry Ganchar)

This video came out shortly before Mario came back in Decemberof '00. There were rumors at that time that he was considering lacing up the skates again. And when Gretzky asked Lemieux & Howe "Anybody miss it?" and Lemieux answered "Absolutely, how could you not?", you definately got the feeling that Mario was indeed coming back. :)

I have that one too. Picked it off of eBay about a year or two ago.
