I'd say it seems pretty kid friendly too in case you're wondering. 5 is probably the lowest age I'd take in.

I'm getting an ID4 experience nostalgia vibe from this flick, I really want to take my 4 year old, but it sounds like besides robots fighting monsters (which who doesn't love) some of it may be over is head. We did Man of Steel last week and he had no idea what was going on, but as long as he was in costume the rest of the movie didn't matter

I thought Pacific Rim was a Power Rangers movie.

Yeah I remember it as Red Star. What is it now? I think it was still Red Star when I left.

I don't understand the film tracking business. All week I heard how bad Pacific Rim was tracking and much of a flop it already is. Then today, they say it did great with $3.6 in midnight sales and is on pace for a 40+ weekend. Do people actually pay attention to the tracking numbers and use that to determine whether or not they'll see the movie? It is bad enough that critics have as much influence as they do, but now studios leak tracking numbers to hurt/help the film? Even if it's terrible, I'd still want it to succeed just so studios don't completely lose confidence with movies unless they have a 2 or 3 after the title?

Wife rented a movie without my input. Got duped into watching The Host. I'd rather be turked by a syphilitic bear. Awful doesn't begin to describe this one.

Yeah, like ten minutes in, I had that realization (I almost dropped my beer like the coffee mug in the usual suspects as the commercial for the movie popped in my brain)

Seriously, this is one of the worst movies I've seen in a long time. The main character has long drawn out monologues with her inner self that is actually the host for her alien parasite that controls her physical self.
Jesus h..., a hybrid platypus/helocopter that has a soft spot for matching socks would be a more enthralling narrative.

actually, where is my idea book..

Gangster Squad... not a bad gangster movie. It's not Goodfellas or anything, but it was enjoyable.

I'm not really sure what they were thinking with the rave scene at Zion, in Reloaded.

Ill let the 2nd movie slide. But the reason people like The Matrix is simply because of...well...the matrix. Awesome move totally removing that from the 3rd movie and replacing it with robot wars.
