I got inspired to listen to the Velvet Underground & Nico again. I never considered it to be among my 10 favorite records, but whenever I listen to it I ask myself how it could not be. Fabulous from start to finish. I can only imagine what it must've been like to listen to it in 1967.

Troy Loney wrote:I don't why, but I dislike the band. them and led zeppelin, i should probably atleast tolerate that stuff...but just can't stand it.

I'm a live and let live kind of guy when it comes to music tastes, and I'll abide by that, but I just have to say this sentence is incomprehensible to me. :P

For the list, I'll throw in some what I think are obvious ones (not sure when 'pre-Loney' is exactly...):
Neil Young -Harvest
Allman Bros - Eat a Peach
Beatles - ?
Cat Stevens - Tea for the Tillerman
Cheap Trick - At Budokan
Clash - London Calling (though I really like Sandinista!)
CCR - Cosmo's Factory
Eagles - Hotel California
ELO - Mr. Blue Sky (Best of)
Fleetwood Mac - Rumours
George Harrison - All Things Must Pass
Heart - Dreamboat Annie
Iggy & the Stooges - Raw Power
Janis Joplin - Pearl
Jimi Hendrix Experience - Are You Experienced?

That's through J...

Kinda didn't want to post anything yet since we don't have any good quality video or audio, but, here's something. Rented PA, no monitors, no sound guy. It took me 1:00 to realize the lead vocals weren't loud enough.

It was about 900 degrees out that day so pardon the stasis of the band. I, in particular, am usually much more animated...

When I have professional stuff I'll post it...

Go easy on me.... :D

Some mighty fine shows hitting Stage AE in the future.

Oct 4th: Trivium, Devildriver (co-headline), After The Burial, and Sylosis

Nov 25: Lamb Of God, Killswitch Engage, Testament (2nd opener, amazing), and Huntress

Morbid Angel are also hitting Peabodys in the Mistake By The Lake and playing their entire Covenant album live plus "fan favorites" on Nov 16th. Hopefully they realize that there are no fan favorites on their latest abomination.

DevilDriver has always been a fav of mine. I never understood the Trivium appeal. And a much younger FC used to like Morbid Angel, but ever since Formulas Fatal to the Flesh, I could care less.

Dire Straits -- Alchemy Live.

13 minutes of "Telegraph Road", along with "Going Home" -- theme song from the movie Local Hero. Such a great live recording and true music magic!

There was a note on the album liner that read something like: "Pops, hisses and amp noises are real, nothing was removed to take away from the live experience."

I'm going to leave this here while praying that this girl doesn't use google and maybe that'll coax people into shooting some opinions

I sat next to her on a flight to LAX that ended up being 6 and a half hours, last night. It was delayed 2 hours and we barely noticed. I thought I might be biased whenever I was assessing her talent because not only was I ecstatic that I finally got to sit next to the aesthetic girl on a long flight as oppose to some obnoxiously overweight smelly person or some screaming booger faced kid. She was really chill and charming, she was way passionate about everything but she didn't give off that "arrogant pretentious vibe" you get from aspiring artists these days. She gave me her contact stuff because she liked my SoundCloud profile.

I'm still kinda lit because I only make beats for fun and she wants to sing on them, of course I'd have to shell out for the studio and just to make sure I have my feet firmly on the ground I'd like to know what people think of her voice

edit: oh and by "wants to sing on my beats" I mean, she would meet with me about singing on one of them and we'd try and shop something up
